So yeah, finally delving into the 5 boxing in LFR.
I have always stayed out of LFR do to the toxicity and the nervousness of causing a wipe due to slaves running off, or messing up on specific mechanics.
First off:
How do you deal with the asshats who throw rage at you? I had one of my slaves get vote kicked and it's really put me off LFR. But I am at the highest ilvl I can get too without heading into LFR.
Do you just ignore the raid chat?
Secondly:
For some of the separation / zoning mechanics how do you deal with those? Practice? I forget the boss but it's in Antorus where he drops you in some cage thing. Given it was my first time in the raid, so I hadn't dealt with it much. The mechanic caused havoc with my team causing me to wipe the raid.
Aside from watching videos of the fights themselves, how to you deal with the mechanics that are usually not a problem for solo players?
I would love to get together with another couple of boxers to continue messing around in game. But I am peaking out on solo stuff with my 5x Lock Team.

First Boss - quick swap to the toons that have decimation and move them out of the group and then /follow back to lead, OR - just strafe your whole team to the side.
Dogs - You should be fine to just stay stacked for this fight.
Portal Keeper - Either send your whole team through the portals, or don't send any.
Eonar - You can actually avoid using the special action button altogether if you just use the boost ramps to go up/down
Antoran High Command - just stay out of the pods
The Hunter - P1 - stay stacked, P3 - pre spread your group so you don't get knocked around
Kingoroth - Spread a little, and kill adds.
Varimathras - stay stacked, move out of purple
Coven - Spread for lightning adds, focus healing adds, get out of middle for fire adds, don't let line adds touch you - don't stand in anything
Aggramar - Stack on tank for technique, loosely spread - strafe out of puddles
Argus - you can stay stacked for most of this - once a character gets targeted with a bomb - move your toons away from the raid. Release when the last phase starts. Stack - move toons across the room if you get targeted with bombs.
This raid isn't too bad, LFR is pretty garbage right now because boosts. Also - avoid LFR after Thursdays. It's pretty crap.

God damn, that was a good reply.
I think my only other question would be how do you deal with the ragers?

This is what keeps happening for me.
I'll have 1-3 slaves get booted.
This one was because the paladin wanted a ring that dropped, that I needed. So he got salty and started a vote kick. How do you guys fair with this?

I drop in 10 toons.
They cannot kick me if i have 10 toons inside LFR :D
but yea .. some people really don't like multiboxers..
Yesterday I was joining LFR and we had a wipe on Demonic Inquisition ..
First time they were not saying it was my fault! I was amazed myself.
We had a tank not doing his job, which caused the wipe.
However .. I gave 2 tries on The desolate Host, 1 try on the spirit side, 1 on the other .. but wiped twice .. so i just excused myself and left.
People really don't want to spend much time in LFR's, and multiboxing might have had some bad experiences for them inside raid group.
Make sure to prove them wrong, and own the dps meters and know the tactics.
AND have DBM up to date :D (deadly boss mods)
I hope you won't leave LFR's for what they are because of some sad players kicking your toons.
Wish you all the luck in your adventure!

I did the first few bosses in emerald nightmare and didnt have any problems there. I havent tried LFR since.
Before that i was kicked out of LFR all the time in Hellfire Citadel, even though my monks were always in the top 10.
I got to block some of the kicks, but eventually you will be kicked out.
No clue where the hate comes from

Might be that we take up several slots for the raid that can get loot.
If they notice, for example, I get 3 loot items for 3 out of the 10toons, they get a bit fustrated.
I'm always happy if i can give some loot to another person. that way they might get more tolerable towards multiboxers..
Every single one that i can convince that we are a nice kind of people, is another one that won't vote kick :D

The cage boss isn't THAT difficult .. just needs alot of attention. I did this one yesterday as i said before.
Make sure you don't get hit by the whirlwind of the melee boss. because thats when your torrent really goes high, very fast!
eventually you need to go into the cage.
When you do, just DPS very hard on the mob inside the cage to drop the little shiny "bolts".
if you see that there are alot of them, just run with the whole team over all of them and fly back to the boss room.
Thats how i did it with 10.
I'll try capture it on video next time i get in. however I am awefull at editing video's :(

Haha that's too funny! Love the 10 box in LFR, that would turn a lot of heads hahaha.... Well done!

I hadn't thought of the loot ratio.
I am still kind of on the fence to drop down to 3 boxing, since I can use the mammoth mount. But I haven't really made myself try it yet. Choices!!

Well, you could try and divvy up the team. 5 is very noticeable and lots of people despise multiboxing. So the more obvious it is, the angrier they get. LFR is mob rule which is important to keep in mind.
Whenever I dual box I get no rage anywhere. Nobody notices because it's natural and appears to be two people playing. So my advice would be take one melee and one ranged at a time. Two ranged isn't bad. That basically means running LFR three times.
A little story: Back in MOP my war + shm + bm * 3 crew sat at the top of the healing and DPS meters for the first leg of SoO LFR. Up to pride. This pissed a lot off. They complained in raid chat and even though some in the raid told them to zip it they kept going. So the raid vote kicked to shut these people up. Even though we were winning half my team got vote kicked. I think that was the last time I ran LFR on more than two characters.

I agree with MadMilitia and also that would give you a more subtle way to learn without costing the raid any wipes.

The more I look at it, the more I think I should drop down to 3 boxing. Easier to manage, less noticeable in LFR, and overall seems like less of a hassle.
Swap out the other two accounts, as needed to keep the gear up. And when I have an itch to play mythics I still have a balanced team.

That is very valid advice.

I bounce between 5 and 2 a lot. 2 is very comfy. 3 is a bit more to manage because of the need to split roles on encounters a lot. With 2 different roles 2 boxing, everything is manageable. Melee moves on a different modifier than your main does. WASD for main, ALT WASD for the 2nd. Or updownleftright if lefty.
Once you have two melee or two ranged it gets a lot hairier. Cleave bosses would always be tough with two melee (tank + melee) and ranged mechanics requiring heavy movement are rough on two ranged.
The game is wide open at 2. You can do scenarios, raids, PvP, etc. You can ride in the best passenger mounts too. Again very comfy.
My justification for 5 boxing is usually that I can and that running dungeons is very fun. It's different. Not easy by any means and should be taken as an added challenge. Sometimes it borders on the absurd and that compels me back to dual boxing.

Create a keybind in isboxer that sends a follow to all your slaves, and resets the camera view facing forward. Now just run through LFR with mouse broadcasting turned on and tap that keybind every few seconds. Your slaves will run less bunched up and more natural looking. Though thats only really good for traveling too the boss, not during the fights.
You could also mog your guys different, ride different mounts, hunters with different pets, etc. People wont really even notice you are boxing. Though the more toons you bring in at once the easier it is to notice.

+ make ur name not look like all others..
My name is Coconutterd on the main and then i have variables of Cócónutterd, Cóconutterd, Cocónutterd and so on and so on.
So they see pretty fast that i'm a multiboxer :P

I've always tired to stay away from LFR, mainly because I'm not very good at PvE as it doesn't interest me.
My main problem is I'm naughty and join with all tanks so DPS wise I'm in the middle or bottom.
However, on more than one occasion I've saved the raid by becoming the tank and healer!

Knowing the tactics and lead the dps is the key to stay in LFR with a 5 man. Sometimes you will have bad luck and a bunch of salty guild kids try to kick you before raid even starts. Dont waste your time thinking about it, do something fun instead :) .
As long as i 8 box in LFR i never ever get kick voted in Legion! Technically they could, but they never did. Maybe i look so many and they get feared by gettin kicked, or i was just a lucky guy.
Fun Fact back in MoP:
Tried 8 box in LFR, salty kids started hating ...bots hack loot blablabla ... kick vote started - first toon get kicked ..... immediately i started a kick vote against the biggest Hater, reason: "fuck Multiboxer" - The toxxic hater guild kicked his own member out of the raid :D. It mades my day...
