I'm looking at parts for a friend's PC and holy shit, what happened to NVidia availability? 1070 is going for $900-1200 (if you can find one new) and even 980s are going for $1k? I've only checked Amazon and Newegg so far.

Yeah, I just recently read an article talking about the 1080 Ti FTW3, and it mentioned that it's currently $1200 on Amazon (obviously, third-party resellers). I couldn't believe it, but it was true. So, for now, you'll have to just keep F5'ing all the sites and hope you catch it when some normal-priced stock comes back in.

OK, so some reading says that all the bitcoin farmers are buying them up for that, so all the easy one-stop-shopping is blown out. Holy hell, I need to find a store still selling them for $600. :P

Well you could always buy the founders edition for normal prices directly from nvidia
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/geforce-store/ 1070 for $399

I read the only way to get them at normal price is from builders( when buying one for a build lol ). I really hope this is a short trend though.
