I've seen a lot of posts about doing Mythic+ with their team, but I was wondering...

Do you raid with your team?

If so,

What content are you currently pursuing?
What is your team make-up and why do you like playing it?
What are your iLvls?
Do you run with others or is it just your team?

Currently, I'm running a 5x team (Prot Paladin, Frost Mage x3, Resto Shaman) all with iLvL 920+.

Sometimes a few of my friends from my casual guild <Vytis> get on and we actually ran some content the other day. We completed Emerald Nightmare (Normal) with me and 3x friends. It was challenging and fun and it brought back memories when <Vytis> was way more active and pushing content. I think one of the big things that made it fun was that I was able to help people see content because I was multi-boxing.

My guild is best described as a bunch of casual misfits. They aren't the best players (min/maxers) but their love for the game is no less. They struggle with mechanics, but are super willing to learn. A lot of them have had RL stuff come up and therefore haven't had the time to play as much anymore. With the declined participation, we were struggling to fill a raid, which discouraged people from getting on. But because I have picked up multi-boxing, those that do show up are able to see and actually experience content (I don't count LFR as experiencing content because you could be brain-dead and still win at LFR) because I fill 1/2 the raid.

Anyway, just interested to hear your experience with raiding!

Thanks for being such a great community to be a part of :)

I was running up to 2-3 hunters in heroic content with my guild raid team. I think I got them to ~ 925 or so. This was pre argus. When argus dropped I swapped to my healer and pretty much stopped multiboxing alltogether

i been doing some current exp raiding with my 5xprot pala team, all solo, can clear M+13 on time with it so its pretty decked out on gear. (940)

since im a bit tired of the m+ grind I've been doing +10 just for chest then doing some raid "progression" instead. im saving my +15 runs for later, hoping to get my Keystone master achieve with my team.

both heroic and normal EN are pretty easy, normal is a joke... its harder to do m +6. on heroic the only hard fight is Xavious if you don't have the healing to NOT die to anything but maddness.

after all, that's the strat... pull xav and DPS while making sure dream is never procced by damage, that way you get full corruption and get the +150% damage buff, just make sure to die WITH the dream buff up, or else just wipe. if one of your dudes dies to damage, then he wont get the buff and you wont have enough damage to get the kill. (even when he wont really die)

there's a "soft enrage" on the fight for us boxers and those are the tentacles, they will overwhelm you.

I've been working on NH normal now, just 10 minutes ago got my Kill on star Augur, pretty close too. pretty stoked about the kill.

i wouldn't even try it if you don't have some crazy heals and beast damage. and i don't think having a healer or a few DPS will cut it, since you have only 5 players in the instance everyone will get to deal with brutal damage, cant see anything but tanks surviving it. (5x bubbles and magic prot talents are pretty much a must to survive frost phase while dealing enough damage to meet the enrage.)

1966

on the screen it shows 3 seconds left, but in reality it was more like .1 sec, he had already finished the cast for his beserk spell (insta wipe) while i did the last few damage points. pretty intense fight, needed to swap to 4x helms on alts and big stats leggos on main tank to survive the meteor spam.

the fight is brutal on your damage, i have 5X prots and killing the things that should not be was pretty crazy. and i couldn't go full damage spec due to phase 2 and 3 heal requirements.

Botanist is hard too, dealing with the Parasitic fetters can take a few pulls to get right. once you get that aprt down, damage is not really a problem since we can do some nasty AOE damage without even trying.

i still need to kill Krossus and Tich. haven't even tried either fight yet, i guessed i simply couldn't meet the DPS checks... but this Star Augur kill gives me hope i might be able to see Magistrix before weekly lockout reset.

the instances do not scale under 10 players so i've been doing them with a handicap by playing with 5 chars. if i had another 5 on the instance i bet i could easily clear normal NH and do some attempts at heroic.

It's great hearing other people's experiences. :)

@CMKCot, That sounds pretty intense! Hope you get it down.

I think one of the things I struggle with is handling the Puddles of Death on various bosses. I find I have to relax my vision and look at all of my screens (using my peripherals) to quickly recognize who is standing in something they shouldn't be and then moving them out, but I imagine that just takes practice :-P

ya i have this problem mostly on melee teams because ctm/itw gets all messy really fast i like to make pets do the tanking + pets skip most the stuff with tank swaps and stuff like that.

I used to zoom out the tank as far as I could so I could see the slaves. The improved graphic setting on the main/tank made void zones easier to spot and I could react faster. I also moved the slaves as one group with the joystick on the G13. So all would go forward/back/strafe together. I have not boxed WOD or Legion so this technique may not work anymore.

Gul'dan Down, he was really easy. same with tich and krossus.

for tich you kinda need 5x shoulders legendaries to one shot the slimes. and on krossues got him on a first pull with 20 secs to spare.

Star Augur is still Brutal, took 4 pulls to get a second kill on him. last time got the kill with under a second left, now it was more like 10 secs, still pretty tight.
