2000th post.

Ok. Yes. I said "you know" far more than perhaps I intended to. I don't do a ton of public speaking - maybe I can work on that :)

But I did enjoy the interview and even though it is not heavy on technical details, it is still a good roughly hour long interview on multiboxing and what it is and isn't.

Great interview. Xzin handled that perfectly. My favourite moment was when he asked you "That would cost ALOT of money wouldn't it" Xzin's response was "....." Silence, was the funniest 5 seconds of silence I have listened to in ages.

Great interview, well done Xzin. I thought it seemed fairly balanced. The Wow insider guys made their opinions plain but didn't sound like zealots. I just don't think they realised the amount of work setting the systems/macros up (the whole 'download the macro pack' thing).

should of seen mIRC, some of their comments made me angry. Some of the terms they used were misplaces or incorrectly used.
I would of liked to be on there with zxin, but to add "to be honest" to the "You know", would of just been comedy.

Although he was clearly trying to be as unbiased as possible, the host seemed to have made up his mind already.

The point that really got me was the discussion about arena multiboxing. I'm not sure that the host realized just how competitive high-rated arena is. You'll be facing 5 players who are using everything available to them to make your life difficult, are extremely skilled in playing their class, have well rehearsed tactics and great group dynamics... to say that two people have an advantage over 5 people trying to outsmart them is just absurd.

Xzin, you did a fine job. Clearly presented and easily understandable information without sounding at all patronising. You had some tough questions thrown at you, but handled them well. I'm sure you'll have 'won over' quite a few listeners.

Good job on handling the silly questions. During the PvP arena section I kept thinking you should have said "3 people could spam an assist - castsequence macro and get roughly the same amount of coordination on timing casts."

Mike sounds a little too narrow minded, maybe he doesn't realize multi-boxers might have already played a single toon as well? After all the game is nearly 3.5 years old now. Something tells me Mike might have a brain meltdown if he had to manage 5 at once.

As for the future of Multi-Boxing... that’s all dependant on the games that come in the future. If game devs make it possible, it will continue. It would be great to see a game that was designed from the ground up to support multi-boxing and all its complexities.

Anyway, good job Zin! You definitely came across better than your hosts.

Has anyone noticed a better attitude since this show?

I am getting a lot of love these days, not that I got much hate before... but where people might follow me around or gawp... now I am getting comments like "Multiboxing FTW!!!" etc... weird

Xzin,

I thought you did an excellent job bud. I was yelling at my monitor through half of it. The baiting was incredibly amateurish and uncalled for. For those of you who don't have pcs that can play mp3s, and are stuck reading this on a TI-80, I created a transcript:

Mike Sharammitupyourass (MS): So with all these macro kits you have that automate everything, do you think Blizz will change their mind about multiboxing?

Xzin (X): /facepalm.... look, these aren't "kits", they're just in game macros. Have you EVER played WoW before? And if you use the word "Automation" one more time, after we've dispelled it from the issues 3 times already, I swear to God himself I will find you and carve "Multiboxing is not Automation" into your forehead.

MS: Right right... so how exactly do you automate everything?

X: Again... we don't automate anything, Captain Quick™. We use macros like anyone else that plays WoW. The only special thing going on is multi casting key presses.

MS: Ok, lets forget about all your Automation for a moment... I think the real reason EVERYONE is upset and hates you multiboxers, is because you can just lose in Arenas and still get gear. Amirite?

Mike's footstool: Yeah... that was my question for Invader Zim too! (I'm a big fan of your cartoon show) So isn't it unfair that you can go into Arenas, lose and get epics? Multiboxers are cheaters. I multibox sometimes.

X: Uh... /pauses for brain to cool off... You know, you guys are talking about game issues that have nothing to do with multiboxing. Arena has it's problems, but multiboxing has nothing to do with welfare epics. You know... I don't think any of you play WoW. And that's ok, just admit it so this conversation will make sense to the listeners.

MS: Exactly! That's why you're all cheaters. And you probably all have bigger weewees then I do, and that's hacking. So thanks for joining us Xzin, and proving that multiboxing is nothing more than using more than one computer to Automate game play, making it worse than people who automate with one computer. Anything else to add footstool?

Mike's footstool: I eat paste! Thanks for having me on the show! I want your babies Xzin!

X: Can't wait to get back to Dual-Boxing.com and add this nightmare to the forums.

MS: LOLLERCHOPTERS! /fart-emote! weheee!

It's an hour of pure comedy genius. Seriously Xzin, you did a great job, and I'm glad we had someone mature and sane representing us when the media can only offer uneducated children to conduct their interviews. /salute
