Hello,

I will be ordering a new PC soon and wanna push 20 accounts on it, right now Im running 16 accounts on:

i7-6700k 4.6 GHz OC
GTX 980-Ti 6 GB
32 GB RAM 3000 MHz

I get steady 100 FPS in Dalaran on master and I have set 8/45 on slaves while on master is 8/120 it uses about 50-60% CPU and 80-90% RAM most of the time.

My new build is going to be :

Intel i7-7820X 3.6GHz 11MB

ASUS ROG STRIX X299-E GAMING LGA2066 DDR4 M.2 USB 3.1 802.11AC WIFI X299 ATX Motherboard for Intel Core X-Series Processors

ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB ROG STRIX OC Edition VR Ready HDMI 2.0 DP 1.4 Graphic Card (STRIX-GTX1060-O6G-GAMING)

Samsung 960 EVO Series - 250GB PCIe NVMe - M.2 Internal SSD

Corsair Vengeance RGB LED 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3000 (PC4-24000) C15 for DDR4 Systems PC Memory (CMR32GX4M4C3000C15)

Corsair HXi Series, HX750i, 750 Watt (750W), Fully Modular Power Supply, 80+ Platinum Certified

Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2 Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler, Black

What do you think about it ? I was wondering about the new AMD Ryzen but not so sure about it, also I cannot decide yet beetwen 1070 8 GB and 1060 GB I will probably go with 1060 6 GB, the price is 250 euro cheaper in my country and I doubt Im gonna need 8 GB version right now my 980Ti 6 GB does just fine, it uses about 40% of it full power while running 16 accounts, I dont care about graphics on my slaves so I run them 50% render scale and all low, I can push my master char to 5-7 graphic still If I want to.

The new MOBO has 8 Memory RAM slots thats why I choose 4x8GB instead of 2x16GB for now as later If i want to get 64 GB i can get another 4x8GB

Did anyone already tested the new CPU's this or simillar models ?

ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB ROG STRIX OC Edition VR Ready HDMI 2.0 DP 1.4 Graphic Card (STRIX-GTX1060-O6G-GAMING)That's a downgrade (https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GTX_1060_STRIX_OC/26.html). If you simply overclock the 980 Ti you will most likely be on par with a GTX 1070, minus 2GB of VRAM.

Corsair Vengeance RGB LED 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3000 (PC4-24000) C15 for DDR4 Systems PC Memory (CMR32GX4M4C3000C15)Is this the same RAM you have now? If not, can't you just move over the DDR4 you currently have and save some money? Also, 20 game clients at 1.5-2GB of RAM each plus the operating system is likely going to exceed 32GB.

The new MOBO has 8 Memory RAM slots thats why I choose 4x8GB instead of 2x16GB for now as later If i want to get 64 GB i can get another 4x8GBThe main reason you wouldn't want to go with 2x16GB is because the CPU benefits from quad-channel memory, which requires one DIMM in each channel to be populated in order to work correctly. Otherwise, you'd only be running in dual-channel.

Did anyone already tested the new CPU's this or simillar models ?I doubt anyone has had the chance to extensively test one of these CPUs at this time (in our world), since they were just released two weeks ago and they don't have the most desirable price point at the moment. However, judging by benchmark reviews, it's safe to say that this generation is a little better than the last generation, and other than the GPU and RAM, I would guess that the system would as you expect it to.

Also, in the title, did you mean i9 or i7?

I have ordered ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 8GB ROG STRIX OC Edition Graphic Card STRIX-GTX1070-O8G-GAMING instead.

I cannot move anything from my current PC as I want to have 2 PC's working.

and about the title: Yes I meant to be i7 but I posted thread by mistake and then I couldnt edit the title anymore,

I should have the pc ready by end of this week. Will report how it works

Seems fine Bzyta as I told you, but MiRai is right, pushing up to 64GB RAM would be ideal as soon as you can afford that.
