So I notice on one of my guys (out of 5 on my team), whenever I try to herb or mine using mouse broadcasting the cursor wont see "through" my pet if he gets in the way. For example, ill roll up to a foxflower node, sync my cameras and then mouse over the herb. By this time my big ass pet infernals have caught up and are now blocking the view to the herb, but on 4 out if 5 guys its fine, because the cursor seems to see "through" the infernal and I can still click the herb. But, on one guy the infernal blocks the cursor. Is this a graphics setting somewhere or has anyone else seen this before?

On my hunter team some pets are on the left, some the right. Maybe it depends on the pet? In any case once you consider how big some are then add in followers theres no easy way to gather.
Since my team's attack macros call the pets if they dont exist, I just dismiss all my pets after combat when I am in the world, I have the habit to press that right before I mount every time. I wont bother gathering with my pets out.

It has always been this way, largely depending on the pathing around the node. Typically, I will run just past the node and then back up my main so that the pets are all on the far side of the node. If your camera view is set up properly, your view is far enough back that you can see to click.
On steep slopes, it's difficult not only for pet issues but getting your cameras lined up properly even between followers if you aren't perfectly stacked up.
TL;DR = there's no easy answer, and there is no way to make your pet "click-through" like you can with a chat window. And don't get me started on tree limbs and other objects in the way when questing in places like Suramar or Talador buildings.

run a setview to be looking downwards instead of over the shoulder.
for isboxer maybe 3 step
1 - setview ontop
2 - sync crusor+broadcast IWM
3 - setview back to normal

i had lots of issue with that running my herbalism team but it simply came down to gathering with no pets out, i was far too lazy to find an alternate method of bouncing my cameras around :P
