Forming a EU guild and holding events

Okay. I think we need to have a new guild on a EU server so we have a place for new players to go after they attend a bootcamp (on a EU server, of course) and as a place to organize upcoming events beyond bootcamps. I was thinking we should start with a PvE guild. While they might not like it, PvP players can play on a PvE. Asking a PvE player to level on and adjust to a PvP server is a completely different animal. Down the road if there is enough interest to keep two guilds active we can create a PvP guild as well. My thought for the initial guild is Doomhammer Ally side, but I want your suggestions. If there is a realm that has a good number of boxers in the community, or willing to join the community, already in place then that might be a better place. So post and give your thoughts on what realm to make a new home on.

As for timing, once we settle on a realm, I'll get at least one character setup (maybe boosted to 100) so we can get a guild and people can either start new teams or transfer. I'll level a harem of teams once I finish my current RaF. Once there are enough people we can start having bootcamps and events based on what people would like to do. No point in holding an event if nobody wants to attend.

If you don't want to join the guild, but just wanna be around the great people in this community and the other people like me, that's cool too. With the GreenWall addon we can share gchat so it feels like one big guild.

I'm really excited about this. Let's make it happen.

I'm on Outland, little 5-box team. Play for the wPvP so it suits me. At first the A/H ratio was a real problem but can hold my own against a few now so WQ are not too bad.

I know there are a few Horde boxxers on CoA.

Outland can be pretty busy with wPvP some nights, DanP#2725 if you ever need a x-realm ticket :)

I understand. I'm in the process of doing around 18 teams plus whatever I do for EU, so I feel your pain. You could always bring a solo toon since we will need those for some events, basically anything were something needs to be tanked as a solo has more freedom in those situation, and also to just hang out.

Awesome. Yea, I think it would be good to have a solo tank and a solo healer. Most teams can heal themselves, but having a healer that can target anyone and/or focus on the tank will help a lot with harder content. Same with a tank that can move freely and not have to worry about re positioning followers or keeping them out of the fire. I am more than willing to fill the healer role since I'm the event organizer and my teams and chars are really there to facilitate events for you guys.

Oh I am, but I was under the impression no realm has been made a final decission on just yet. If it's CoA, great, saves me leveling. If not, I'll deal with leveling another team. :)

Well, if there is enough interest, my plan is to add a second realm at some point which would be a PvP alliance side. But that is a time in the future when I know we can support two realms without it negatively affecting either, and when I have a helper that lives in the EU. Four realms with 8 hours of time difference would be just a little too much to be solely responsible for. Running events on four is one thing, but someone needs to be available for normal guild stuff.

The answer really depends on you and the other members there. If you want bootcamps, you're set cause we're gonna do those anyway. If you guys want to do world bosses/quests, we do that. If you guys want to farm old school 25 man achievements that can't be done by one boxers, then we head to Ulduar. If you want to do current 25 mans, we go to Nighthold. If you want to parade around Orgrimmar, then you're on your own. My job is to organize and execute the things you find fun. I'll try to make sure things are feasible and interest the most people, but other than that, everything is up to you guys.

If you like to join in, we'd love to have you. Guild <Multiboxer> is setup on Chamber of Aspects. Anyone can invite your teams or solo characters and Ebony and I can promote when we know you are someone from the forums. PM me here, or send an in game mail if you need to coordinate an invite/promotion. Other boxers can be invited at a lower rank and bumped once we get to know them, so feel free to grow our ranks. gank is still being stocked but if there is something you think needs to be in there, let me know and I'll look into it; only have so much money.

If you prefer a personal guild, I just ask that you use GreenWall so we can share gchat and we can all talk together. Otherwise the social aspect of a multiboxer guild is gone.

I've been meaning to ask if they still had that achievement. That's such a great time, even on PvE servers. It's also something that can be done with other non boxers and can get more people to realize we aren't bots.

Is there a particular healer that would help with lfr or assisting boxers? I was planing on doing a boost or two to get some solo chars up there quickly so I can help out before I get my teams to 110.

yep still around was updated due to the death of some of the "leaders" but same mount same way the new Sw king is a bit of nightmare but its not really that hard to do unless you get one shot by a mage......

Healing is not really a big problem i have 4 healers and other boxers have healers i don't think we have not many of us are running tanks am not sure.

Nice. I was thinking that a solo played healer would be able to heal different groups/tanks as needed since it can be tricky for a boxer to heal outside of their group. If we have more need of tanks though, I'm completely cool with that as well. I'll do a pally for sure since I can always respec to heal if needed. Prolly a druid for the same reason, or a warrior if there is a significant reason. I am definitely going to get my teams to max, I'm more concerned that events happen. If there is still a need after all my teams are leveled, I'm willing to play solo to keep things happening.

I am more than willing to work with you to come up with a solution that fits you and the guild/raid. I also am willing to do this before you make the decision to join us or not. I don't want anyone to spend money or effort if they don't know how important details will be handled. We can either create a thread if you are okay with a public discussion and getting suggestions from others or we can discuss it in a PM. Whichever you prefer is fine with me.

No, we expect you to sing on comms! With the exception of the raid leader and some singular roles, like tanks and tank healers, most people don't have a reason to talk during an encounter in my experience. That said, almost everyone needs a way to listen or get status updates. This is usually through voice chat or addons like Deadly Boss Mods. This is where things will need to be sorted out so Dadjitsu can receive enough information to enjoy the raid and be integrated into it. There is a solution, we just need to find it.

Ultimately, this guild and the events I'll be running are about the members having fun and doing the things they want to do. People don't have to enjoy every event there is, but there needs to be enough variety that everyone can find something they will enjoy.

I've found that comms work well but DBM is just as effective. My old GM used to have a few macros for each encounter, that said what to avoid and what to do, then we just followed DBM and common sense :)

Yea. I was thinking DBM and anything specific to an encounter that was different that what had been discussed previously being typed in gchat. Of course, any questions would be answered as well. It's a smaller group of people so I think it's reasonable to expect them to wait a little bit to make sure someone has a clear picture of whats going on or might have changed from the plan.

Ye, Rizzey, me, Ebony and Dionasira started migrating from Outland at the start of legion (since it's drama central). Outside of us, I am aware of 2-3 other active boxers on the realm. I won't get political, as this isn't the place, but I'm a strong believer in the principles behind the US law called the ADA. You accommodate people when it is reasonable. Period.

Bring the team you want to play. You have the right to play what you want. DPS is a good choice for everyone. DPS will get into everything there is room for people. Tanks and some other situational roles only need so many characters. Healers are somewhere in between. After a while, if there is a need and you are having fun, bring something else and we'll fit them in. This is the procedure and my advice for everyone.

They can be anywhere. Not sure server even matters now that there is so much CRZ. If I can be bothered I talk to them, but if they are set in their ways, I just tell them go ahead and waste a GMs time. I've not had any problems yet, just the ones that run by, come back, check you from all angles, pause, check you from other angles, and then try to duel you for some reason. I just keep moving.

Unless there is content you have to do right away, I'd make as many teams as you can stand to level to 90. I've done so many RaF where I ended up with a few teams and regretted not making more when I realized that class X was suddenly good and I didn't have any. With heirlooms you can get to 90 in 2-3 days of strong leveling or a week of casual. More than enough time for a team of every class. Just saying. You don't want to think about doing another RaF in 4 months because you didn't get that one class.

Wanted to apologize for being absent lately. Been dealing with some very difficult stuff IRL and really haven't been able to log on much on any server. I still have plans for us, but have just gotten a little behind. I hope people don't feel like they were promised the moon and nothing has come of it, but I can understand if you did. I can't say that I'm 100% back, cause I'm not, but I can say that I will be 100% back as soon as I can. I should be in a place where I can be more visible and can talk with people again, so I'll do my best to do that and hope that people are still looking forward to the stuff that will be happening in the upcoming weeks.

Wow as gotten really grinding based these days specially at max lvl and with broken shore release thats why i dropped from 15 to 5 a while ago
Sometimes its just to much to do quest/storyline and gearwise

i dont say its all bad cause atm we can make money so easy but sometimes a break is really needed to clear your head so take your time, wow and games can wait :)

I think players in the EU seems to have there own realms and friends btag is probably the best for the EU. It's not the 1st time the EU have problems with guilds.

Either way, I'm game for some 25man stuff. Currently can bring 10 Havoc DHs (ilvl average 865. Highest 872, lowest 858) but the 3rd relic slot questline is long as hell.. Currently only 2 relics on each :D I should unlock them though..

I'd strongly consider a faction change / realm transfer if we could get some boxer raiding going. Current team is (horde): pala (902) 3 hunter (895, 901, 899) resto druid (901). Recently just started to be able to clear some M+10s, so I'd love to take a stab at some raids if there are people interested.

The guild is kinda dead not even sure if its around, not checked any of my chars last i saw wubsie was the guildmaster,

there is still many players on coa in eu but guilds do not work, having your own bank seems to be a better choice

when Blizzard Groups (discord rip ) comes to the EU ill be making a EU one. might be a better way for boxers to keep update to date in the EU

Will do Wubsie, hopefully some ppl will join up.... For me as pretty new to multiboxing it feels nice to have some experienced player around. There is always some question to be asked.
