Trinity Bars - My Keybaord/Macro Layout (holy pali+4shammyPVP)

Been playing around with trinity bars and must admit though Im still designing my setup its an amazing tool, if you havnt tried it do it!!!

I wanted pretty much everything I use / want to use in PvP binded but my problem was I knew I would never remember where the hell there all bound to when I needed them and I think I remember reading in a previose post somone set up some bars to look like there X Keys setup so I though hey lets do a keyboard!

Some are empty macros with pics on the shaman that are pali abilities e.g. 4 is hammer of justice focus target etc
Some use round robin like warstomp etc

Macros without icons giving away the spell are as follows:

F1-F5 - Pali Heals a certain char, I could use a heal focustarget and free some keys but this is quicker to use and keeps my shaman nuking without me dropping targets.
F6-F10 - Focus a certain char (using Ctrl+F6F10 for PiP for that char)
"-" Follow Focus
"P" Accept all quests etc macro from forum.
"V" My totem mashing sequnce.
"U & I" Max lvl Magma for AOE and lvl1 magma for rogue hunting.

I was thinking about doing something similar with my G15 extra keys, but now i'm thinking about using more of my 'regular' keyboard after seeing this.

Btw- side note. Does anyone remember that post that lists all the potential key combinations wow recognizes? I spent quite a bit of time last night searching for it but none of the keywords I used were narrow enough.

Yea this is one of the many great features of Trinity bars, it's even cooler that you can change the keyboard layouts for each modifier key, and have different bars displayed for in / out of combat.

On my main I have a set of macros which dont actually contain any macro commands , I have my slaves' spell icons assigned to these 'empty' macros so they can also be displayed on my main's 'keyboard' display (e.g my pally tank has a set of warlock icons on his bars)- makes remembering your keybinds across multiple classes very easy as they are all displayed on the mains screen.

Just installed this addon myself and can see the potential.. it's amazing :) rly loved it, even if it takes some setting up and getting used to the option/configs.

I do have a question regarding this addon tho.. I was setting up some new macros on my new (hidden) buttons.. when i noticed this thing saying delay on it.. I thought to myself erm.. wth? Casting delay? = impending ban? I looked through all the default buttons and they were all set to 0.1 sec delays.. So I've been going through every single one and removing the damn delay just making sure there is no way of that happening.. any idea if that function is removable? Kinda gave me the shivers as I had to do it over 400 times to make sure :S

OK.. Update on this if you are also worried about it and want to change it.. don't be a muppet like me and go into the TrinityBars2\bars.lua (notepad) and find "delay" and change it from 0.1 to nothing at all.. saves you doing it 500 times.. It is possible this is absolutely nothing and I'm just being paranoid, but better safe then sorry.. make sure you copy the file before editing it tho :)

since when ? I rank one holy nova, with my priest, or rank 1 arcane explosion. with my mage, rogs out of stealth all the time.

Hmm....I was having a problem with a rogue last weekend who I could not break out of stealth. I was using consecrate repeatedly, but this rogue was able to sap anyone of my group at will. I assumed that the changes in patch 1.11 that no longer broke stealth unless you actually saw the rogue with certain AE attacks/spells was causing this. I dropped quite a few fire nova followed by magma totems, but I still never broke his stealth.

I guess I just didn't keep consecrate and/or magma's up with no break in coverage which allowed him to sap me repeatedly. I'll setup a magma only key instead of my castsequence and see if I have any better luck breaking stealth.

Wait a minute! So you can't consecrate to break his stealth if your not flagged? But the rogue can sap you if your not flagged? That seems a bit unfair to me. Are you sure this is true?

Most rogues in pvp have become Subtelty spec. A couple of talents could be the reason...

One talent is called "Dirty Tricks" - Increases sap range by 5 yards

Another talent is called "Enveloping Shadows" - Additional 15% chance to avoid AOE damage
