Threads with deleted posts stuck in What's New?

When I pull http://www.dual-boxing.com/search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_Post I get two threads showing up repeatedly even if I view the threads.

http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/52917-Dreadnought

The person that last posted in those two is banned, so I'm presuming he was a spammer and his posts got nuked, but now I can't make those threads toggle to "read" status and disappear from the unread list. Thoughts?

Have you tried clicking the icon next to their name as if you're trying to read the first "new" post since your last visit? It should take you to the thread and then act as if you've read the "latest" post in there (which is non-existent).

Yep, I've tried viewing that poster's latest post, going into the thread and clicking on "View latest." I've been into those two threads from every method I can think of.

[edit] Well, one method I didn't think of was marking those two entire sub-forums read. That seems to have fixed it. Seems like there's an obscure corner-case bug in there with regards to deleted posts and auto-mark-read.
