What was your method of choice for getting it? If you did dungeons: how many bosses (or dungeons) did you do before seeing one?

Mythic+1 Dungeon.

2/5 toons. One from regular chest and one from bonus in the same Neltharion's Lair

Done at least 50 Mythic Dungeons and 10-15 Mythic+.

Have also done the emissary quest almost everyday since release.

Have done similar ammounts of heroic and normals as Mythic. I only do heroic once a day for the daily.

Other toons still don't have any :(

Got 1 from Emissary quest (for my hunter team). Been doing most of them since start.

I've done dungeons in all different difficulties, and a couple on mythic + 1. No drops from any boss yet.

I've seen one drop ( not for me ) on a world boss fight..I'm not worried about it.. they said they have bad luck mechanic in place and that over time your odds will improve.

1/5 all Hunters, 1 got one the very first week it could do a world boss.
Has got some ok drops from the boxes doing the emissary stuff... that's really all I do so far.

Havent tried doing time walking or dungeons on x5 hunters, dont think its doable ?

Same toon that got the legendary also got a warfgorged 835 trinket, then a curios coin, only 2 toons have those coins, 1 each - they seem super rare

that's almost 1k caches, well over 2k+ mythic boss loots, an untold amount of heroics and about 45 world boss drops.

There is no time component to it though, you HAVE to do the content for it to accumulate.

Since the drop for one of my hunters, I have now found 2 more items for my paladin team. I found a bracer from a mythic+1 chest, and got a chestpiece from another emissary cache.
Still no legendary drop from any single boss on any difficulty. But lately I don't have time to farm any mythics or do daily heroics, I'm trying to do as many emissary world quests as possible on both my teams, and some easy mythic +1s.

ZERO Legendarys for me so far. I do the emissary quests every day. I have only cleared two mythics thus far. DHT and the Arcway..and the later took me 3 hours and a few repairs from red lol... i wiped A LOT! and it sucks to run back that many times! its a long dungon before the doors open when the last boss spawns.

Update:

All 5 of my toons now have their first legendary.

I was doing the 3 emissary quests yesterday and I waited until I had all 3 then I quickly clicked the emissary caches and recieved 3 legendary on the toons that still had no received their first.

They were not the legendaries I was after...My paladin got the chest that lowers the cd on guardian of the ancient kings by two seconds for each target hit by avengers shield. My "main" dk got the legs that increases runic power by 60 with boneshield (not very useful as I death strike generally when I can) My 3rd was that damn Sephuz's secret ring. The only saving grace was that the chest and legs are big pieces so have a lot of stamina str and the stats arent that bad. The ring is pretty awful but it at least has BIS stats for my DK and a socket.

I was hoping to get the 2 extra avenger shield jumps for my pally and either the Archerus Drape, Lana'thel's Lament, gorefiend belt or the deathstrike bracers for my DKs.

Ideally I would probably use the Archerus Drape and Lana'thel's Lament for my DKs. For the paladin I would use Chain of Thrayn (15% heal on lesser blessings) and Tyelca, Ferren Marcus's Stature (extra avenger shield jump).

My first two were out of the same neltharions lair+1 dungeon where I got a bonus chest but that was 3-4 weeks ago.

My toons are now 862-866 ilevel.

It does feel kind of bad to not get the legendary you are after but I can definitely feel their ilevel in my team. I guess eventually we will all have "good" ones to choose from.

Was pretty quiet in my guild until last night, when I saw 4 legendary drops. So perhaps as you say things are kicking in.

Interesting that you dont like the Sephuz's ring Xeneres.

For my 5 pallies I am after the +2 AS bounce and the ring. I cant get enough haste, and since the proc triggers off of the AS silence, for trash it should be perma-up. For bosses, you can proc it off blinding light, so not as useful there, but you can get some use out of it. But for me, half the time I have more trouble with trash than bosses, so anything to get through trash quicker.

Anyways. My pallies are 105 so almost to the point where I can start my own legendary hunt ;)

One of my pali tanks received a legendary yesterday, dropped from the world boss WQ. Just the ring though.

That puts me at 3 from those boxes, 1 from a m+ and 1 from weekly m+ chest

That 40% more Howling Blast one seems nice

I got my first two as well. One from this weeks world boss > Chains of Thrayn (http://www.wowhead.com/item=137086/chain-of-thrayn)

And from Emissary chest > Breastplate of the Golden Val'kyr (http://www.wowhead.com/item=137017/breastplate-of-the-golden-valkyr) got this one on my main toon!

3 more legendarys since last update. Each paladin now have 1 legendary. My main paladins which is the Main tank got the ring with 4% less damage in consecration, that's just perfect.

last week i got 13 legendaries on all alts, pretty ridiculous jump. not one alt with two legendaries so it seems it was a fix to get everyone one.


BoE epics also have jumped in drop rate, got 5 up until last week on all alts, last week got 4 doing Wqs (not farming) all crappy 835s


still. i don't have any of the BiS legendaries for us. Sephuz secret is completely bonkers for prot, it procs every 30 secs on trash and that 15% haste is amazing for DPS, and no extra bounce pants. both of those combined can make M+ trash a breeze.

Daaaaaaamn! My hunter team has one legendary, so much for bad luck protection. I've been doing the emissary quests every day on them. Also, this weeks boss Flotsam SUCKED for me. I got one epic out of 20+ character kills, so 40+ tries with the extra coin.

The preponderance of folks having never seen a legendary in their guild, let alone on their characters means (I suspect) more tuning is coming. I'd love to know the weighting of events in the "anti-bad-luck" algorithm.

I am beginning to think there is not any extra code in the game for bad luck protection. I really don't think many people play more than me, I play like an addict.

I think whichever developer started this rumor was just talking in lawyer speak to make it sound like it could be anything, but its just regular nothing.

So that makes 2/5 so far.

I got my 7th legendary off a mythic dungeon boss last week. I've done probably over 300 regular mythic bosses.

Two characters have 2 the rest have 1.

3/4 of my DKs have sephuz's secret. I guess with its incoming buff in 7.1.5 where it activates on interrupts that it will be less awful. At least I can easily proc it on trash but its useless on most dungeon fights since I'm unable to proc it.

1 was from regular mythic.

I do like the +15 legendary ilevel bump to 910. My toons are now all around 870 ilevel.

Got my fourth legendary, Rattlegore Bone Legplates, dropped in Mythic Violet Hold.

So far for my primary team, I am 4/5. Paladin and 3DKs have a legendary, just need the last DK to get one.

If bad luck protection starts over when you receive one, then I should have two on each by now. Its been just as long from my first one until now than it took to get my first one. Plus now I am also doing mythic+

I wouldn't be surprised if they broke something when they fixed the soft cap.

This is just getting really freaking weird man. Every time I post something about not getting legendaries, one drops for me. Just received an Aggramar's Stride from a DHT+4 chest.
