I'm currently running a 1paladin 4 shaman team and I've tried out a few combonations with the placement of my Tanking, Dpsing, Healing macros and I haven't found out any that I'm really loving atm.

Currently I have...
1-4 as my tanking tools for my paladin

F1-F4 Healing macros

F5-F8 Dps macros

5-8 Totems

This set-up isn't too bad except for my tanking and dps macro are so far apart. I like to keep it so I have my left hand near the wasd keys for quick movement and my right hand never leaving the mouse. But I'm constantly having to rearrange my left hand across the keyboard and it just feels to spread out and gets a bit confusing at times.

If any of you have a good setup that you feel allows you to be in good constant control of your main AND alts please post your set-ups. Perhaps some of them will give me a good idea on a better placement for mine. Looking mostly for those set-ups of teams that have a tank unit as well as dps and healers but willing to take alook at all of them. Thanks in advance :)

Okay here we go....

My mains abilities are always bound to 1,2,3,4,5,,r,t,f,v,c,x,z This gives me 10 (20 with shift as a modifier) keybinds for my main.

F1 is Heal and Buff macro for the main (bound on the priest)
F5 -F8 is the same but for each of the alts.

G is one type of cast sequence for the alts and B is another type of cast sequence for the alts.

That is my main team (War, Priest, Mage, Lock, Lock)

For you... I noticed that you are using Four keys for your totems... how about just making a castsequence for all your totems?

Keybindings are a personal preference in my opinion but I don't keybind anything that I might use in combat to a key I will have to take my hand off the WASD keys for... what I mean to say is once my ring finger leaves the A key I find that I have to look back down at the keyboard to find it again... and if I am looking at the keyboard I am not looking at the screen.

Hope that helps

change all your keys around wasd to macros, like r,t,f,g,z,x,c,v and just reassign those functions to a different key like my reply chat what was "r" and now it's "y" it just made it easier for me, although the z and x are kinda hard to get too for me.

hope that helps

EDIT: IT beat me to it :(

My movement keys are centered around the home row. I.e.:
A = back
S = sit/down
E = forward
D = left
F = right
Then I have all my secondary bars bound to everything around it. Usually works pretty darn good. H, N and Y are the farthest right keys I use normally. I put the rare-use stuff (like mass-sheep key and buffs, etc.) over on the O/P/[/]/;/'/</>/?/etc. Works pretty darn good and I rarely have to move my fingers more than I do during normal typing.

Oh, and one other thing: do a search in the forums for "round robin macro." That saves 3-4 keys for stuff like fear/frost nova/deathcoil/etc. ;)

Hmm...I actualy really like these ideas. Which keys in particular do you guys use for healing keys, dpsing keys, and if you use them tanking tools?

Heh, I have like 10 keys on my pally all set to a basic "/startattack" macro. As an example of what stuff I have where:

priest+locks group
1 = cannibalize (all 5)
2 = nothing (locks), prayer of healing (priest)
3 = /petattack (locks), PW:Shield/PoMending (priest)
4 = /petpassive (locks), PoMending (priest)
5 = Seed (locks), PoMending (priest)
6 = Hellfire nochannel macro (locks), PoHealing (priest)
---
Z = fear round-robin (locks), PoMending (priest)
V = AoE round-robin fear (all 5; resets in 25 secs or something back to the priest psychic scream)
X =
C = deathcoil round-robin (locks), PoMending (priest)
B = nothing (locks), CoHealing (priest)
---
G = MORE DOTS! MORE DOTS! macros (locks), PoMending (priest)
H = wands (locks), PoMending (priest)
---
Q = WoTF (all 5) FTW! :P
W = drain life (locks), PoMending (priest)
R = lifetap (locks), nothing (priest)

The mages+pally are kinda similar.

1 = cannibalize
2 = mana gem use/create macro
3 = nothing (mages), wisdom/judgement/startattack macro (pally)
4 = CoC (mages), /startattack (pally)
Q = WoTF (mages), Divine Shield (pally)
W = can't remember lol
R = Blast wave (mages), /startattack (pally)
Z = sheep round-robin (mages), /stopattack (pally)
X = PoM/Pyro (mages), /rofl (pally)
C = frost nova round-robin (mages), /startattack pally
V = Arcane pwnage (mages), /rofl /startattack (pally)
B = bubble (mages), nothing (pally)

There's more, but that's the stuff I use all the time. The rest is edge-case setups for things like zerg pulls in instances, spread out macros, etc.

Right on, that has given me some great ideas thanks for the info :)

Oh, forgot to mention. I use Clique+Pitbull for click healing on my priest/pally, so no binds for those.
