SO far I have been pleasantly surprised by world quests as they relate to US, multiboxers! Not only are they a good source of mat, artifact power, item upgrades and GOLD! Any quest I have done where its difficult to do on more than one toon at a time..i found you don't have to do it on every toon. Keep all toons right at the quest giver/start of quest event, do it on one toon and they all get credit! I just did Ley Race and the Magic of Flight in Azsuna this way!
The 4 daily faction world quests give a box that can have legendary items in it..but always have somthing useful! And about 00-800 gold per box. if you have time, its worth doing those everyday ( they require 4 world quests of the faction each )
Have any of you found any un-boxer friendly WQs?
OH! And world quest achievements are bnet wide..should have the 100 WQs required for the, eventual, achievement needed for flight done in a few days!

I'm just about done with Stormheim and Azsuna and I have yet to have to do one of those never-to-be-sufficiently-damned ground item pickup quests, either. Quite lovely.

if thats the case for world quests you should be able to in all reality of its bnet shared be done in like 2 days.

How did you get the ley race to complete? The magic to flying, yes, but the race one I had to do individually.
More on top, I love the WQs so far. Easy to complete, no ground pickup, and TONS of world pvp.

I did the Ley Race in two zones today, got credit on all my guys when i did the quest with my leading toon.. you have to have your team right next to the NPC.

In that situation is there some way to prevent the non-participating toons from casting their spells? I'm using ISBoxer.

no spells to cast for the quests in discussion.. i just turn off keymaps. One you just ride a mount though mana spots on the ground.. the other you ride inside a bubble!

The giant on Watcher's Isle..
That earthquake is about 50 yard range and can be stopped by stunning him. If you don't and aren't behind a pillar when he does it he will instagib you. Wiped my party twice earlier.
Aside from that one nothing yet.

The FFA PVP quest was hilarious, you run in and AOE yourself and it's over in 30 seconds

Interesting Airborne! I was skipping those because I have more than one party... Good point sir, good point.

I did two more Ley Races today and I could not get group credit at all. I had to run all 20 toons through two apiece. Le sigh.

I did twice as well.. the one in azuna i got group credit.. the one in stormheim i did not.. had to do it X5. What i do is target the npc and do the dialog on all 5, then just run the race on one toon. Today was first time i had to do it on all 5 on one of the races. So not sure if its random when it gives credit to group ( maybe bugged in our favor? ) But OMG! i would not want to do it 20 times! That enigma puzzle one is not group friendly.. but not too hard to do 5 times..did you do that one Mosg2?

I'm a linguist in real life, so memorizing the 10 or so patterns the Enigma Puzzle uses is pretty easy. For the whole team it takes maybe 15 or 20 minutes. Thankfully, you're phased while you do the quest, so no pvp shenanigans as you do it... as compared to the key race :/
So I've now done three ley race dailies on 20 characters without getting group credit once. I talked to the npc, went through all the dialogue, and stood literally on top of her each time. No dice. Sigh.

I also had to do the ley race on each character. Well I could run 2 chars at the same time and swap between, but still it's not a quest I look forward to do.

I think the trick to the Ley race is to run it on one toon and figure out where it ends when you have 100 gained to complete the quest. The quest seems to be a binary its either complete or isn't. Any toons that are nearby when another toon completes it will give all toons in that party credit. The bubble quests to find the objects is the same way. I can typically sit on the ground for a few of them and complete it on one. All you need to do is have em close.
So for me (5 boxer) I have to run it once (if I don't know where on the map my race ends) then move all but one of my toons who have not yet completed it in that location. Then finally run it on the 2nd toon and it will give credit to my other 3 that are waiting by the end point. Sometimes its not worth it because the path doesn't end that close to a flight path and I just do it x5.
I tried to do 2-3 at the same time a few at a time but lately some scumbag alliance or horde members will either try to kill my toons or kite mobs with aoe onto my toons while I'm doing the race thinking im also not watching them. I totally am watching and will go out of my way to camp them viciously until they log off or have a 2+ minute rez timer.
Some other quests like this is the ship quest in Stormheim where you use the ship to kill the mobs in the bay area with islands. What I do is click on the ship on my slaves to get credit for entering the boat. Then I run them out into the middle of the quest area then I have one toon kill the mobs with the boat and it gives everyone credit.
Also for the escort quest in Suramar where you follow the guard and kill lieutenant Piet you can have the guard run away it on most of your toons so long as one is still eligible after following the guard to Piets location.
I'm nearly exalted with every faction so it probably will be only a week until I'm exalted with all. For my Dalaran emissary quests I have been feeding my 1500 rep into the wardens since we did not get a boost to their rep due to completing a zone. Nightfallen rep is around 800-2500 a day even without doing the scenario, depending on emmisary quest.
I really am getting tired of the world quests...they are cutting into my mythic and mythic+ time! I feel obligated to do them and a heroic daily, which typically take 2-4 hours a day. I still think that even after exalted, due to the chance at legendaries and 10-20k daily artifact power at knowledge 5+, I'll still "have" to do them or feel like I'm missing out on my characters progression. This typically leads to me to putting mythic and mythic+ off until the weekend and then its a mad rush to power through 10-15 mythic dungeons before reset BUT only after doing my world quests and heroic daily! Which sucks because my reasoning is "well I can always do the Mythics and mythic+ later in the week" but these damn world quests expire tomorrow or within a few hours but sometimes that "later" for them does not come.
I do prefer to do WQs when less people are doing them or while they are raiding. People can be very rude, especially to multiboxers. I've had players steal quest objects right out from under me once I engaged few mobs, so that I could loot said objects. Then they run around looting all the objects and then tagging the mobs Im fighting. I have started to make it my goal to tag on all 5 of my toons to deter people from doing this and to gray out the mobs for them. I also try to use stuns on mobs or aggro with the slaves and loot the object so that parasites cannot do so. Some have learned to tag stuff and then kite it to me, this can be pretty annoying due to the nature of my class having built in AoE and increased threat due to being a tank in my rotation. When people do this it makes the quests take 2-3x longer.

I have had mostly positive reactions on my prots.. maybe due to how cool blessed hammer X5 looks. But i did have one person following me around on a mining WQ where you have to kill..then mine some felscale(?) gators(?) and mine a few before i could. Wasnt helping kill.. just following me and taking the ore.

Yeah I have the same experience with WQs. It seems quests won't give all credit for the Ley Races. Also puzzle ones are a no go. The flying bubbles do work. Pretty much when I see Kirin Tor as the bonus, I sigh.
Side note: Pick the wardens for the faction reward. Suramar rep is super easy and comes fast.

Ok, I 'solved' the Ley Race issue.
If you move your alts to the area that you complete the race at, they won't actually have the WQ in their log. So, leave'em at the quest giver and run it on your main, but you have to be within quest range of your alts when you fill the bar.
Doing it this way I was able to get group credit, and I even figured out a good path to take that gives you 50% out then the last 50% in, so it's about as fast as it can be done for us.

Yeah. That's exactly what I figured out today when I had to do 4 kirin tor missions, 3 of which were lay races.

I said that.. just not clear enough I guess

I think in another thread i was more specific and said that i have all my guys right next to the npc and have them all go through the dialog..then run the race on my main toon
But I'm happy your getting credit now! doing it on that many toons would get old fast!

I park/leave my alts at the npc, collect enough to need one more gate, and then ride back to the start and hit the first gate next to the npc to complete it. Works every time.
