Dual boxing on the down low? (PVE raiding)

Does anyone here run 2 characters at once in lower tier raids such as Kara/ZA/Gruul's etc., as well as heroics? I play a shaman main, and thus far all my boxing has been done for fun on the side. I was thinking of rolling up a new duo (or going elemental on the shaman + a character) so I can farm up badges and gear for a new character or 2 without having to run everything twice. Is there a pair that works well for this? I would think mele is out, healing would do doable but not ideal, so that pretty much leaves ranged dps, at least one of which is probably going to be the main for whatever CC ability they have, or at least need some good focus/assist macros. Any ideas?

I don't know how well shadow priests stack and whether 2 is feasible.
Maybe a shadowpriest/warlock combo if you want different classes.

Two of the same will be easier to control. Two different classes just means you will need to do more work on your macros.

i have a demo lock and holy priest combo that i've taken to kara, i have the priest as my main so noone will die and have shadowbolt on every action bar for the lock sincehe's demo specced, it's not too bad but dont expect to top the dps/healing charts cause its hard to do since a healing class needs micro managment.

I bring my 4 Shamans to Kara every week. I do Gruul on 2-4 depending on raid need. I used to quad box them all in SSC and TK, with great success.

this is a WWS report of Lurker death from a while ago, and I had greens still. My guild is new to raiding, so dont mind all the other scrubs but needless to say, 4 totems of wrath = win =) and 4x healing streams means you take almost no damage from the boiling water and can spend the whole fight DPSing hard.

Void Reaver is pretty easy, you just stand with the Melee and Chain Healx4 when you take pounding. you heal yourself and most of the melee too.

Hydross sucks cause you can only really DPS half the fight, but I usually save my Heroisms for that phase and make my Frost tank work for her epix =)

I have the same combination, but when we're doing kara I respec my priest shadow, and that really boosts the lock dps. With me playing 1 shadowpriest+4 locks,and some friends of mine tanking/healing/additional dps, we clear karazhan in 3,5 hours atm (we skip netherspite however,he's a bit hard to multibox)

I would love to stay shadow, my shadow set it all epiced out and my healing gear sucks, but the guild needs healers so i have to be holy...shadow is so much more fun though

I healed a PUG Molten Core the other night even tho I am elemental spec lol. Using 2 shamans, Not that hard, Most of my raid experience is a healer and when I finally decide to ding 70 on my shamans I do plan to respec them both to resto just for raiding purposes. I think I will still be ok for farming things when needed.

I run Three shamans that have just hit 70. Been doing Kara and heroics with them so far. Working out great.

Pre-TBC I dual boxed my war/priest in MC and AQ twice a week. Not so much since 70 though.
