Hi guys,
I've multiboxed in the past with 2 mages, with the assistance of a g15 keyboard, but I was woefully bad at it and gave up fairly quickly.
Today I've started a Druid and 2 Warlocks to multi-box, which is a bit more complicated. This time I bought keyclone and did the basic maximiser, PiP, do-not-pass setup etc.
Now... the challenge! I've done a crazy amount of reading up on macros so that I have at least a basic understanding of them, but it's keybindings that's confusing me. Since I will be playing 2 different classes at the same time, I'm puzzling out how to make this work.
For example, if, on the Warlocks, I have key 1 bound to a macro for doing dots, but I have key 1 bound to be, for example, Maul on my Druid, that means that pressing the 1 key will make my Druid maul and my Warlocks dot at the same time.
But I wouldnt want to be resetting the dots everytime I wanted to Maul O.o
The only work-around that has occurred to me so far is to have everything on the Warlocks bound to be CTRL+1 for example (and make sure this was bound to nothing for the Druid), and the Druid to have keybinding 1 for Maul (and make sure this was bound to nothing for the Warlocks).
Am I understanding this correctly? Corrections/suggestions would be great, because this is tying my brain into knots!
Thanks! :P
