It actually wasn't Ming. It was Jasi, who alternates days with Ming. Doesn't really matter though.

Ya, I was pretty surprised Jasi was ripping on our style of play like that. Since I transferred over to BG9 I've ruffled a lot of feathers from the elitist crowds. It comes with the territory though, and they are has beens in a world of evolving multi-boxers :)

2.4 definitely reintroduced some awesome world PVP in the same post, all coming out sounding like a big QQ about "WOW PVP ain't like the old days, knowudamean, Vern?" is taking douchebaggery to a whole new level and should be put out of their misery before they can contaminate the human gene pool with their offspring. I think it's the part where you are backing it up a lot better than they anticipated. If you notice, his complaint is that the battlegroup has deteriorated so much, talent-wise, that even some scrubby multi-boxer (omg, a multi-boxer, of all things!) has the gall to trash talk! In other words, if you have multi-boxers talking trash in your battlegroup, your battlegroup has gone to hell. Because it's just not possible for a multi-boxer (omg lol, a fucking MULTI-BOXER) to do anything in BG9 aside from grip his ankles firmly and acknowledge his betters!

In other words, it's a massive steaming pile of QQ smeared over with pseudo-intellectual whining about "just a video game." Funny to read, but not worth paying any attention to.

Pride about PvP in an MMO... riiiight. Can't even take the game seriously... hrmmm...

Now, back in my CS days with CAL and all, sure it made sense because it was really all about player skill. But in a fantasy MMO with SO many different stats, talents, abilities, classes... I just don't see how you ever balance it to the point that you're really isolating player skill. If I remember correctly most of the PvP stuff has just been an after thought for WoW and is mainly driven by the fact that so few people will put in the scheduled time that the BS raiding takes and they need something else to do once they hit the level cap.

IMO the PvP QQ at all, about anything, is just sad and I think it takes waaaay too much attention away from the PvE aspect which several million of us signed up for. As far as I'm concerned the whole faction/PVP bit just makes it so I can't group with half the people lagging my server. If they would make dedicated faction/no PvP servers, or let the factions group together, I and several million others would be all over it. Yeah I know, Warcraft has it's lore and yada, yada, but w/e, I enjoy WoW for it's quality gameplay. Anything in a quest beyond WHAT DO I KILL/GET and WHERE are wasted text.
