So since most of us probably have more then a few lv 100's, I was wondering what mot of you did with regards to garrisons. I am at 9 100's with 6 more at 90 and I cant imagine logging in and spending 2-3 hrs a day just running mission and collecting work orders.

How do you guys manage garrisons with all your lv 100 characters?

id imagine people run all their characters around at once with broadcasting and use macros to select certain things.

Well, for me, most of my 100's are on the same account...I cant box most of them.

With 11x5 @ 100 it takes me about 15 minutes twice a day to run missions (this also includes professions daily CDs)
Other than that, twice a week I collect work orders and once every two weeks I do salvage yard. The work order days take about 1h, and then salvage yard days take about 2h.
I use several addons which make everything a lot faster:
TSM - makes crafting CDs, vendoring and mailing stuff between characters super easy once it's configured correctly.
Master plan, garrison mission manager and garrison broker all help with missions and keeping track of workorders.
I also use an addon that helps with upgrading follower gear called follower gear optimizer.

So do you ignore the mines/herbs then or just do them once a week or something?

I will have to take a look at those addons, thanks.

It isn't for everyone. I have probably 10 100s at this point and I have no intention of bothering with garrisons on any of them.

It's just something you can do in the game but not required. You can make gold other ways like running instances.

I have level 3 barns and spend about 1-2 hours every week or so trapping wolves in Nagrand. Takes 10 minutes on my hunters, 15 on my DPS casters, 20 on my paladins, and 35 on my druids to get ~75 traps done. Once that's done, turn in 36 work orders at the barn for fur, come back 5 days later to collect. Mail the sumptuous fur and savage blood to my AH alt and keep it listed. My server is low population, so the fur sells quick at ~480 a stack of 200 and the blood takes forever, but usually sells for ~3800 a stack of 50.

Outside of the above, I just park everyone at the table in the main garrison building. With the masterplan addon, I just sort by reward type, broadcast-right-click everyone until they're full and click "Send tentative parties." Takes all of 60 seconds per group to collect and reassign everyone, so max of like 5 minutes of actual work per day total on missions. Once a month or so, I'll go clean out all the crates and bags and upgrade followers.

My AH mule is sitting on something like 850k gold, and I didn't even have a barn until 2 months ago.

Frankly, I spend most of my actual game time helping family and farting around in Tanaan or instances. I.e. NOT in garrison junk. ;)

Great points. See I had always thought of the garrison as almost a required part of the game since I spent so much time leveling and improving it on my main account.

Lv 3 barns, lv 3 storehouse / salvage yard / main profession - maybe a stable or mage tower thing...on all my alternate accounts. Ignoring the mine/herbs entirely.

The only thing I found really worth investing time on was leveling followers up to 675 so you have good chances at the raid-tier gear. As someone that doesn't raid or PVP, that helped me gear up a bunch over what I can usually be bothered to farm. ;)

Do you think the salvage yard is worth it anymore? The numbers seem to be that I get more greens then anything else from the huge crates...and most arent even WoD level ranges.

And does anyone run the JC hut just for the daily with your multiple toons?

Some of those "greens" are worth 2-10k, I have gotten a number of green items that are rare for transmogs.

So do you go through and look at each item you get from the crates and decide or do you have an addon that helps? My auction house toon has 30+ mails with 12 assorted greens/blues. Not to mention the level differences...
