Funny Multi-boxing Moments...

We all have them.

My most recent happened last night. My husband says I am mean because I laughed (and oh God did I laugh), but it was so funny. You know how multi-boxing gets attention. Most of the time, people will stop to watch you when you run by them. I was on my way to Forest Song last night, and I was running down the dock in Auberdine toward the Flight Path. A level 50 gnome warlock, on his mount, is running the other direction toward the boats. Usual reaction, he turns around to watch me -- BUT -- not paying attention to where he is going, he runs off the edge of the dock into the water below. I was laughing so hard I was nearly in tears.

What are some funny things that have happened to you while multi-boxing?

I haven't been doing it long enough to really get any specific moments like that, but I just love the general wtf comments I get from people all the time. Like you say, I'll run through an area and people just stop, turn, and say "wtf?". It kills me every time. Some will of course immediately jump to the bot or gold farmer conclusions, but other people get pretty curious too. I just find it hilarious to see people at a complete loss of words when i turn off my black listing and say something at the exact same time from 5 characters.

I love your naming scheme! You have to make a paladin to BOP Bopity. Funniest thing that happened to me is when the same person spammed all my locks for a summon. My locks made up 70% of the locks on at the time so he must have spammed all of them. I replied "why don't you ask (insert name of your next character) I hear they have spare shards!" when he got to my last lock I referred him back to the first lock. This went on for hours. Not a bright player ;)

hehe, most of my guild is RL friends and I recently joined my 5 shaman team to the guild. well I logged in today to do some inventory cleaning and Inoticed that someone had fun with the guild notes on them all.. Each one says something to the effect of "not cooler than <random clone>" so each one says its not cooler than another and there is one that just says "not cool at all" I got a good laugh about that one even if no one but guildmates can see it.

I'll try to remember some funny moments...the only really funny ones that pop to mind are the people arguing broken logic of how we're unfair or have no lives lol

Some random guy in a BG saw that I was multi-boxing and was like OMFG how do you play 5 at once? I told him that I adopted 4 monkies from tanzania, and trained them to play wow. He goes, "Really? Wow that's cool!", but isn't that cheating?. I have other screenshots where the conversation continues and it basically comes down to him saying that letting other people play my account is against the terms of use, and I convince him being as I have the monkies adoption papers that they're the minor child on my account so Blizzard is cool with it. Some really quality people play WoW is all I have to say.

It wasn't funny to my repair bill but I took my shammies into MC last night, and was healing off-spec. A guy was so amazed by my shammies that he kept talking to me and not paying attention, pulled a boss and wiped us lol.

I guess that I think the pvp stuff is most funny part. Rule on pvp server do not attack unless attacked. ganker saps lead /main then stun locks one of your other toons thinking that there are only 2 of you. I then kick his ass with the other 3 and wave goodby to him the all 5 . just priceless

The giggle I got out of 1shotting (err 4shotting) a curious 70 Druid in flight form who got too close to my 4 lvl 62 mages when I had pom pyro up.

The resulting tells from a level 1 that he made specificly to complain about the above.

You know how people will stop and pan around in your face obviously inspecting you? I turned all my guys toward this alliance nooblet in Shatt and buffed up. he apparently thought I was about to do something nasty and backed up just far enough to fall off the elevator. :P I laughed so hard I about drove off the thing at the top of the lift.

Last weekend, I'm standing out in nagrand at level 66 skinning a clefthoof I'd just killed. My pally is standing outside the corpse and the mages were all inside it skinning. This 70 war in full S3 gear drops off a mount and charges me right when the skinning finished and the corpse disappeared. he saw the 4 mages and ran. I couldn't catch him in time to prevent him from mounting as I was chatting at the time. He mounts up, flies over and apologizes to me. I guess he really didn't wanna start something he couldn't finish.

The best ones, though, are when some 70 scrub in raid purplez hovers while I'm killing. Like I couldn't see the hunter not 20 yards away. So I pulled, and just as I finish killing Bach'lor (the 67 elite deer thingy), he dismounts and starts casting aimed shot. PoM/Pyro+Fireblast x4 and he's a stain in the grass. So he rezzes, mounts up, comes over and hovers in the air and makes a rude gesture, so I two-shot him again. I didn't see him any more after that.

Neither did I ever see the 70 mage and 65 druid that tried to gank me while I was doing the nagrand forge camp destruction quests. Damn scrubs really need to go gear up before copping an attitude. Yes, I can kill a 68 elite miniboss AND two alliance chars at the same time and not lose a single mage. I about cried laughing when the druid comes back, stealths and stands behind the nearest tree, like I'm not gonna look there. Hard to run away when dazed by Blast wave.

Yes, I'm evil. But only when people start poking me with sharp sticks. ;) And one of these days, I'll remember to start turning on my recording software when out in PVP zones. :P

The best one I've ran into (so far). I was working on the emote macros for my 3 shaman team in Camp Taurajo and I had them standing side by side. This kid comes running up, watches my little party bow, flex and whatnot simultaneously, and says;

Knucklehead Kid: WOW!!
Me: heh
Knucklehead Kid: lol are you guys bros?
Me: Yeah
Knucklehead Kid: i figured. i bet getting the timing down is hard isn't it
Me: It can be. Later.

The "are you guys bros" still cracks me up.

My best was when I was in terrokar forest in the Arena area where mana tombs, SL, Crypts is - I was at the stone.

There were several alliance around and some [horde] guy with an epic dragon mount kept flying around coming to me then flying WAY off.

He then came sorta close and did a "kek" (lol) at me.

So I did 2x POM + pyro and a chain lightning - instantly killing him. Then I said - "kek that". All the people around laughed. My son saw it and still quotes "kek that" to this day.

It's very satisfying seeing a dead horde body drop like a rock off their epic mount. kek

I was on my three Horde locks outside BT, farming the bloodelves there for the Scryer stuff. And this Alliance mage kept flying down and buzzing me. And he was PVP flagged. This was on a PVE server. So I felt I had to do something. And when he flew down I managed to land three instant cast dots on him on each character. And to make things worse, he flew off up onto one of the tall pillars to sit and eat, but died before he could fill his health bar. So he ended up having to spirit res cause his corpse was unreachable. He came back with a pally buddy who tried to kite mobs onto me by aggroing and bubbling, but that never worked.

Messing around with a buddy who didn't know who i was...saw him in trade chat and he just so happened to say "5people didn't call me gay just YOU, so stfu"....i immediately spammed trade channel with all my dudes as to his questionable sexuality. It followed with 2hrs of LOL spam. Then i whispered him and said who i was and he immediately jumped on vent abusing me and laughing.

*Person now aggroes mobs and tries to train them on me. I fake some casts without taking aggro and move around bot-like. (keyboard turning and moving. :p )

Had a funny instance back when i was finishing up my spree in SM:cath. I had just made a trip back to town to repair, sell off drops and clean out bags etc and I get to the meeting stone and see a couple alliance summoning people (they were ~35 or so) They had a lvl ??? warrior with them and given he seemed to be wearing S2 arena gear I figured 70. Well while they were doing their thing the 70 kept bothering me, like /laugh, /chicken, /spit etc. Since I wasnt pvp flagged I took my time to set things up. The warrior anticipated it and backed up but I guess the party figured I wouldnt do it. Dropped my usual array of totems and picked out targets one at a time of the lowbie party. Popped elemental mastery, chain lightning+earth shock dropped all 4 lowbies I then ran towards the instance chain dropping earthbinds. Made it there alive and jumped into library to wait out the pvp flag. All the while just shouting 'lol' I got a big laugh out of that one. Enjoy the corpse walk boys because your high lvl friend wanted to stroke his epeen muahaha... God I can't wait until the outlands its going to be nuts.

Hehehe... reminds me of when Suvega and I were solo-leveling for a while around 2.3 when I was in between leveling my shammies and my locks....

Anyway, we were non-multiboxing 2 characters in STV when this 70 warrior, with a lowbie in tow, comes to our quest grinding area and just owns our face. Totally pissed off, we corpse ran back and saw the warrior with a ton of mobs on him just cleave'ing away with the lowbie in a safe corner. We went over to the lowbie and rezzed on top of it, stormstrike'd him and he just keeled right over. We started running like sissies since the warrior hadn't even noticed the lowbie died -- he literally keeled over so fast. (And yes, we knew the corpserun was LONG) The warrior eventually figured out, killed the mobs he was cleave'ing and chased after us.

Our little coworker friend happened to be in the area and was trying to find us to level with us (total warcraft huntard... but he's our IRL friend so...). He starts using his little level 30ish hunter to SHOOT the 70 warrior who's chasing us, who basically rolls him like a speedbump. He literally chased us all the way to the refuge camp, he was that pissed that we killed his lowbie.

Hey, he started it. And killing the lowbie in less than 2 seconds was hilarious.

I can think of a good one...there's a half-dozen or so horde, mostly 70s, a 66 or two, in Halaa; we'd just done the Ring of Blood quest and were heading home, Halaa has 0 guards and most of the other Alliance have given up or were corpserunning...me, my twins, and a holy/disc pvp/arena-spec priest pretty much ride into halaa from the north and COMPLETELY FUCKING STEAMROLL every one of them without a single alt dying. They all res'd a few times, even all together and died again...we invite everyone else into the fun now the horde're pancakes on the ground now and we take halaa =D Nothin better than taking out s2/s3 welfare pussies with my raidgeared lead + quest gear alts >D

My most memorable non-boxing one though has to be my Troll rogue around lv34ish, doing the Satyr quests near the alliance town in Desolace; Human Pala shows up, lv40 in plate, and decides he wants the mobs and I can't have any. What followed was quite possibly the most epic battle I've ever fought, both of us burning our cooldowns no less than 4 times over a 20+ minute SINGLE BATTLE; he bubbled alot, I was subtlety so I was vanishing/blinding/sapping like nuts, we both potted a bunch of times, it was freakin awesome. Eventually he fucked up, I forget how, or just gave up one, and I won; I was friggin ecstatic to beat a 40 in plate at 34 with piddly little daggers :p He had the decency to not get pissed after that fight and he res'd, we both continued to quest peacefully after that lol(And he's probably why Paladins are my easiest kills on both of my Rogues...I NEVER lose to a pala in a 1v1 lol)

Nothing to epically funny- but it made me crack up. I ran up to my friend today to show him what I was doing boxing- and went through my formation, totems, lightning shield, fire nova explosion routine to say 'hi'.
Guy standing there started talking. 'That may be the coolest thing I have ever seen! You just got SERVED!'
Course it didn't help that the quote is kinda of running joke w/ my friends.
Went on to talk about getting some ingame dance-offs. 8| lol.

Was walkin' from Loch Modan to the Wetlands w/ my priest + 4 mages... and some smartass thought it'd be cool to "/follow" me as well. Well, once I found he was "following" one of my mages, I broke that toon from the group and took a dive over the longest cliff in the game (or at least it seemed). Mid-way down, I hit "light fall" and watched as he zoomed right passed me. Once I landed, I seen his corpse (he hadn't released yet). I don't think I laughed so hard in my entire life!
