lo all

i have a mage and a warlock and using keyclone and also running Bongos2 now my prob is bar setup does anyone reconmend a good one?

i have currently set it up like this

Warlock - Bar 1 - Immolate,Corruption,Curse of Agony,Shadowbolt
Mage - Bar 1 - Frostbolt,BLANK,Fireblast,Fireball

so i press key "1" lock casts immolate and mage frostbolt etc then spams Fireball and Shadowbolt

how am i going to fit in Fear,Deathcoil,Lifetap,Drain Life,Drain mana for my lock and poly, frost nova, ice lance for my mage its confusing

is there a way i can make my lock cast the 3 dots and my mage spam fire while the lock is casting up the 3 dots?

as you start to increase the number of class types, you increase the complexity. you are basically attempting to squeeze 2 keyboards into one.

one method for dealing with this is keymaps.
you would make a keymap for each class type... and it will translate the keys between the classes for you.
if you use commands, loading keymaps is simple... just specify the file and it will load upon launch.

defining the keymap can be more challenging for some people.
basically, you need to define a key and string (english phrase... do yourself a favor and don't use spaces or capitals) pair for each key you care about.
the common link between keymaps is the string. it will be sent to all clones.. and ignored unless associated with a key.

for example, your mage might have fireball on 2 and the warlock has shadow bolt on 4... so...

mage keymap:
--
key: 2 string: main.shot

warlock keymap:
--
key: 4 string: main.shot

notice that the strings are the same. that's what matters. basically, when you are on your mage and hit 2...a 4 will be delivered to the warlock. you could also have keys used by one that are ignored by the other.

if you want more info, please let me know.

have a great day!

Try a castsequence.

http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Macros#Cast_Sequence

Basically, make your lock's button (paired with your mage's "fire spam" button) look similar to this:

/castsequence reset=target Dot1, Dot2, Dot3, DotEtc

There's also this ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Macro:Warlock_Spam') example in the Wiki: http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Macro:Warlock_Spam

A castsequence basically goes down the line, casting each spell until it reaches the end and then restarts.

Your mage's buttons should be the same.

I'll explain a quick walkthrough of the castsequence you copied :)

/castsequence [modifier:alt] drain life; reset=combat/target corruption, curse of agony, immolate, drain life, drain life
The [modifier:alt] drain life says that no matter what you do, if you hold alt and press that key, you will cast drain life.

/castsequence [modifier:alt] drain life; reset=combat/target corruption, curse of agony, immolate, drain life, drain life
The reset=combat/target says to restart the castsequence (i.e. go back to the start of the dot list) whenever you switch targets or enter/exit combat.

/castsequence [modifier:alt] drain life; reset=combat/target corruption, curse of agony, immolate, drain life, drain life
The corruption, curse of agony, immolate, drain life, drain life says to cast your dots on a target in this order: first cast corruption, then cast curse of agony. After that, cast immolate, then drain life the next 2 button pushes.

Now the trick is, you have to keep the same target when you push this button. If you tab between targets, it'll reset back to corruption and you'll just cast corruption on your next button push thanks to the "reset=combat/target" modifier.

hm so if i set a macro to "K" and have that cast sequence i need to hold down ALT button the whole time?

so on bar 1

corruption, curse of agony, immolate (wheres Drain life go) [lock]
fireball [mage]

im still completely clueless

i push K and on the lock it will cast dots then spam drain life and on the mage it will spam Fireball?

i have that atm but not binded a key because all it does is cast Corruption then thats it just stops

I made it really big and red so that you can actually try and read it this time.

Read my post CAREFULLY, let it sink in for a couple seconds... Maybe even take your warlock out solo and try messing with it to see how it works if you're more hands-on.

If you do that, and you are still having problems, come back with your questions and I will try my best to be patient. No promises though.

are you clicking your button again? It won't do it all with just ONE press. You will have to push it again to get Drain Lift to cast.

Gurb is very correct. 1 spell = 1 button push.

If you're not pushing the buttons that often, then you're using automation which is essentially botting. So, sadly ;) , we have to push a button for every global cooldown.
