As a long time lurker/first time poster I would like to say Hi to all the multi boxers who do all the good work on these forums that keep them so interesting!! I am currently deployed from the UK for 6 months and they are keeping me sane at the minute.

When I first found this site I though my god this looks complicated, then after reading all the stickies and getting my head around things I though “Why not!!” So I started Tri-Boxing 3 horde shammies. I’ve got to say this changed my whole perspective on WOW in an instant. Sure it was hard to start with, but gradually I got the hang of things and managed to get them to level 11 whilst thoroughly enjoying things.

Unfortunately I then had to deploy for 6 months, but I am using this time to gather as much information as possible, before upgrading to 5 toons when I get back. The sheer amount of detail on Hardware, Software, and Macros etc is enabling me to give myself a good head start for when I get back!

My question is this:

With the 5 shammies I intend to go PVP initially as I love BG’s/Arenas and then later when I maybe tire of this, power level a Tankadin to try out the Heroics on offer in the Outlands. Is it better to simply get to 70 as quick as possible, get the new Reputation PVP set and then hit the BG’s for S1 epics or should I stop off at say 50-59 BG’s and grind some honour first? Having read some peoples levelling updates it sounds like fun in the 50-59 bracket with Shammies especially.

Finally a quick thanks to Keyclone for making life so much easier

The 59/60 brackets are wierd. Outland quest rewards are so much >> than anything old world that there is a huge imbalance between people who have decked out their toons and those who haven't.

I loved the 59 bracket I had my 5 alliance shams in FULL invoker gear and tore shit up, but the lvl 60-69 and lvl 70 brackets have higher skilled / geared people and it makes for fun times. If you have 5 twinks in a pre-70 bracket it is like shooting fish in a barrel.

59 brackets and 69 brackets are also quite server dependant.

I found that on KT when I was lvling my rogue that staying in the 60-69 bracket for AB/WSG was more beneficial because horde would always steamroll the ally even in PUGs so it was a good source for honor and especially tokens. In the 70 bracket it can be a hit and miss but we now do fairly well (except AV but that is 61-70 anyways) so it depends on your server really. You do get less honor the further away you are from 70 however.

depends on your server que times. sometimes 29 39 lvls have short ques (more twiks) if you can playagainst twiks I would park at lvl 29 get ab and wsg tokens then lvl to 59 then grind av ones. lvl to 69 and get eye ones

works for me

Many thanks to all who replied. I think i have made up my my mind and will go straight to 70 and try for the new rep PVP gear before hitting the BG's and eventually the arena. I know that by the time i get to the arena i could be playing against S4 geared toons, but thats what fun is all about. It will be a long grind as the highest horde toon i have is a LvL 52 Priest so powerlevelling is pretty much out of the question, but multiboxing it will make it all the more fun.

The only trouble is after reading various posts and especially TwentyTotems blog(Very nice BTW) i think i have chosen the wrong race! Also as i started multiboxing with 3 and then want to add 2 more they will be all out of whack with xp. So i have decided to get rid of my Taurens(only Lvl 11) and reroll Orcs, mostly for the racials and a little bit of OCD on the xp side.

If anyone has any other ideas they would be most welcomed!!

While leveling remember to do the pvp dailies if you have them. I didn't notice them until I was 61ish on one of my alts but while grinding by 5 box set I noticed them a lot sooner than that as long as the daily happens to be a BG you have access to. In the 60ish levels the quest would give honor, gold, AND 10k or so XP so well worth doing while grinding levels.
