Not sure how many others are using Skylake atm, but there have been some crashing issues uncovered. Basically, when the CPU is being taxed too hard it just shits the bed. This probably explains some issues I've been having getting my team going hot and heavy. MSI released a BIOS update today to address the issue, if you're using MSI and Skylake I recomend checking it out. I'll keep you guys posted, team 2 hit 97 today so hoping to get started sorting out the ten man team, if this update has me squared away that is.

Thanks Ugh, and a quick update. I took my team to a few old raid instances to see how things would work this morning. I encountered zero issues after the BIOS update after clearing everything from Vanilla to Cata with my ten man team. Zero freezes, blue screens.

TLDR: Initial testing bore positive results, I'll finish grinding to 100 this week and start configuring my raid setup for more testing, but so far so good.

Good to hear since my 6700k is on an MSI z170a Gaming 7.

/agreed. I've been putting off upgrades for 2 years saving up for a major leap forward and I'm am not disappointed. Only exception: M.2 SSD is about as fast as a Samsung 840 Pro and half the speed of my raid 0 840s.

I haven't messed with an m.2 yet, I've got an x99 build planned for this year and was thinking of dropping a 950 EVO in it along with a Corsair Neutron SSD. That PC is going to be a project and a half though, and it's getting mounted on the wall. I really hope the Carbon boards aren't indicative of MSI's future plans with their boards. I REALLY like the styling on the z170s, if I could get an X99 board that looked as good as the M7 I'd be a happy man.

The only thing that's disappointed me about the M7 is those damned green LEDs on the onboard Power/Reset and mini screen. I'd have been happy with white, or red. But green?! *sigh*
