He brought me a shiny new 6GB 980 Ti today. (Funny, he looked awfully like the FedEx guy...) Can't wait to get home and play with it! Anybody have some recommended tweaks or notes about this series of cards?

Very nice. I don't know of any special tweaks off the top of my head, except to keep a lookout that SSAO (High/Ultra) may cripple your FPS in certain areas of the game for no good reason.

...wow. Glad I'm practically on a first name basis with my delivery people.

Fascinating development: apparently, the model I have needs 8+8 PCI-E power connectors whereas my PSU only supplies 6+2+6. Yassum, I be larnin.

[edit] What was it Svpernova said? It's beginning to look a lot like _more_ upgrades. *sigh*

You must have gotten some ultra-special aftermarket model, because the normal model only requires 8+6 pin for its power delivery. #FancyPants

Just be glad you don't need to supply power to the EVGA 980 Ti K|NGP|N model which requires 8+8+6. o.O

It's in EVGA 's parts list as the 06G-P4-4996-KR. Hell, it's been 3 years; probably about time I upgraded more than just video cards and ssds anyway. :p

The only weirdness that happens (with mine) is a conflict with Nvidia/Windows 10. After each windows update I have to use a driver cleaner program and reinstall the drivers. It will lose the plot and not use DX11 features, will crash ALL THE TIME etc.

Sexy little things though.
