my 5x hunter team has totally ruined me.
They are so much fun that I can hardly play any of the old teams now. my biggest issue with the huntards is the target death before I get a shot in. if I open with kill command and blinding strikes, the target dies from pure pet damage and I get no credit.
there is so much less to worry about with the hunters, I don't have worry about complicated movements ( i.e. tank movement .vs. dps movements ). the misdirect instant recast on your pet rune so I can almost always keep the threat away from me. The pet healing is pretty darn good. almost no worries about healing. The 5x DPS makes my other teams feel slow or sluggish.
I did run into an issue with the pet fetch, it had the ability to lock up my pets, they aren't dead but they no longer respond or move. I switched to a loot-a-rang and I think any problems there have gone away.
using BM so I have a full set of all 9 raid buffs.
Huntards rule.

i nerver got on with my hunters am more a in your face melee kinda girl.
Or though it seems i have found my love for now with kitty cats (feral druids) they are just a all round fun group they have great healing in cat, x5 rips ticking away at around 10k dps x5 and crting players with a nice FB x5 is always fun not many classes can take me on for long without trying to run off (that they don't get far with rips on them :D)
The leep on the target is brillent as well and really helps you get back into sync. and then we have the great Exit plans (Plan B) with access to stealth and ins cast flight when stuff gets a little to hot!
All in All i LOVE this group so much! and am only in honor and i can take down full 5 man partys with ok geared chars. Then on my shams i can only just take a few players if there in a grp am doomed! and there in half conquest gear.

Sorta the same issue. Running DKs now and absolutely loving them. My boomkins are practically gathering dust. Thankfully the mixed PVE team is still interesting just due to all the extra mechanics and abilities you have to play with.

I was like that with Prot paladins in WotLK; was running heroics and getting achievements and having a ball. They trashed the healing in MoP or somewhere around there and I switched over to BM hunters and haven't looked back. 2-second pet rez + insta/perma misdirect is just /faceroll up to a certain point. They're still unable to solo Rukhmar or Nok-Karosh but anything short of that is just /afk+dead.

I agree. Curious how hunters will play out in legion. As I have gotten older I no longer have the ability to keep up with the cs:go twitchy kids and need to keep my gaming stupid simple. Hunters do that for me.
I mess around with 3 mm hunters in 3v3 and I can kill someone with aimed/chim/kill out of camo. Its good to ~1500ish, but i do it to get the mounts/gear and a few achievements per season not rating.

After reading this thread , I went and tried a 5 man hunter team, whilst crossing the mountains from Thunder bluff heading to crossroads I wandered into an Alliance NPC with ?? , I thought oh shit, this is a lvl 32-32 area, I am lvl 10, my team slaugherd the lvl 32, thats 22 lvls higher, I did not think that was possible so , I continued right through the southern barrens are 30 to 33 AREA WITH 5 LVL 10S.
SHAME THE XP WAS CAPPED at 45

If i am reading this right, you should change your pets to not assist and then /petattack [combat]

yeah, i use pets on passive, if you run BM they are just too good for fighting random mobs.
recently with ilvl 680 i noticed they can oneshoot old raid bosses too, on old instances being locked out of a boss drop is a pain. :/
one neat trick is to send them after world elites, so long as you don't deal damage to the target the health multiplier from more players wont kick in, so you can get the target down to 30%, then start attacking and kill that last part with kill shoots. takes 1/5th of the time. i still have problems with sha (pets losing agro on adds when they stand on hate ponds), but with some randoms from local i can get easy kills every lock out.
currently BM pets feel just WAY too powerful, i was doing pandaria raids as a fresh 100, just sick the pets on the raid boss, and run around ressing the dead pets (glyph), avoiding fire and spamming mend pet. stack mastery, and don't even bother to DPS, the pets alone can handle it. (just makee sure you have a TAG on the boss)
you don't even need tank pets any more with the 100 talent.

I switched out blinding strikes for a Murder of Crows, this helped a little with the BM pet one shot ( but just a little ) and 5x Crows is just a nice looking cinematic.... reminds me of the movie The Birds. The crows do a huge amount of damage too.

Me, I just open with multishot and that usually solves it. For everything else, there's passive. ;)
