Hello all,
Just some thoughts:
In 2.4 they are matching up gear levels to keep players in BGs similarily geared, so the game is more skill based.
Queue times for Raid Premades are quite long, as the system needs to match up the Premade's gear to another Premade in queue. These times can be up to 30 mins for AB/WSG/EotS.
You cannot raid queue AV.
Using Stinky Queue in AV will almost never result in your raid being queued in the same BG, as it will take the better geared players and put them in this BG and the undergeared players into this other BG.
Using 2-3 groups queueing with Stinky Queue or Co-ordinated Vent queueing to skirt the Premade Queue times for non-AV BGs will almost always result in your groups being placed into different BGs, again because of the Gear Matching system.
The only thing to prevent this seems to be to make sure each group queueing in the above manner has similar gear between the groups. Mix and Match the well geared with the undergeared.
All the above is bad for Multiboxers because:
1. You will pretty much almost always have to put up with PuGs on your 4-5 box team.
2. PuGs do not fully understand how to play with a Multiboxer, are not familiar with Multiboxers weaknesses and how to support them.
3. PuGs create problems with morons following you around, Raid leaders not putting your team into the same group, chat spam instead of doing something constructive, etc...
If you normally PuG it anyways, then this patch is good for you. You will seldom run into Premades from here on, as I can't see any group of people who form a Premade for fast Honour waiting for half an hour to enter their BG.
If you are just starting out with PvP at 70 and are in Greens and Blues, you will be delighted by the ease of melting faces en masse in all the BGs, as you run into mages with only 5khp, warriors with 8khp and warlocks who are still specced 41+ Affliction. However, this euphoria only lasts until you do your Arenas and your entire team is almost completely decimated by a single warrior.
I don't know if this is good or not for that majority of you, but I dislike the fact that I can't be carried through EotS with my geared out PvP guild :(
It's not even that they have gear, but that I can't join a BG with 10 others who are on Vent with me and know what Multiboxing is!
