***I HOPE THE IMAGES AREN'T TOO BIG***

Hey guys, hows it going? I finally got all my machines built and I'm up and running! 5-boxing, ho!

1 Priest, 1 Mage, 3 Warlocks

I plan on adding one more machine soon and perhaps going the wireless keyboard/mouse route later...but thats another story. For now, I'm using Multiplicity (great program) and keyclone. It works great.

Main machine: AM2 X2 4200, 2gig RAM, too many harddrives, 6600GT (I know) and my 19 inch monitor.

Secondary Machines: (quantity-3). AM2 X2, 3800, 1gig RAM, 160gig WD 7200RPM sata drives (the usual), 8500GT 512 Meg, and three 19inch WIDE screen monitors.

I plan on getting an extra 19 inch wide screen, and perhaps building my bros old comp up...but for now, the computer on my left runs two copies of Wow.

The only thing that sucks is how my monitors are setup. They are spanning across my desk. This isn't as bad as you'd think but I would like to change them soon. I don't need to pay much attention to them anyways. I hope to stack them soon once I get another 19'' widescreen.

PICTURES

Forgive the quality,... the camera is an old peice of sh*t.

Currently they're at level 10...but I have a lot of homework to do so I'll see you all later!

Nice names :)

I agree on the screen setup but that is possible to cheaply remedy.

Told you I would fix the names ;)

But on another note I need to get them in the guild sometime later today :)

nice setup. i like the main guy and his 4 babes motif ... very cool

you know, the more i think about it, the more it makes sense to me that the hardware retailers (or etailors) in the US (or wherever) should really promote the multi-boxing thing as a new craze/hobby... i mean geez, look at all the gear... and in the days where gear is dropping radically in price, they must be desperate to find new ways to bring in more money.

hmmm... i'm thinking good ad sales for Ellay... maybe some donated hardware so Ellay and/or Xzin can test a set of new rigs.

just a passing thought (that... and the thought that i really need to get going on my own)

i agree....and i think the more this becomes popular, the more hardware retailers will start to capitalize on it.

maybe we should get in on it first huh? heh

I don't mean to sound like a naysayer but I still see boxing (at the 3+ level) to be a niche. A fairly small one in the grand scheme of things.

Obviously we all enjoy it but most WoW players do not and will not.

There MIGHT be an opportunity here but I don't see it being lucrative enough to entice me. It would however be nice to get the five figures I have spent on my setup back somehow - but I am not exactly counting on it :)

you never know. it is quite fun, and *most* of the 2+ boxers are hardware buffs.......

Hey don't get me wrong :) I would love to be wrong about it. I just don't see a huge amount of profit here is all. I could be COMPLETELY wrong. If anybody wants me to do an endorsement deal.... let's talk :)

Vetra Keyboard Multicaster - It's Xzin Approved!

I only endorse real products though - ones that I know to be of the utmost quality.

And I don't come cheap :)

and keep in mind... 1% is niche.. and 1% of 9m players ...

i'm thinking some banner ad sales sold directly to the end client (no google banner ads yielding nothing). charge something per month and have them cycle, so you could sell 10 banners on the same spot.

Xzin could also work out a deal where he is testing hardware and promoting the stuff that passed(grading it a bit)... thereby promoting to the folks on the site.

the site could also sell some hardware directly, or even integrate & ship entire setups. yes, a pain in the a**, and we didn't have the choice, but... a newbie might be willing to pay for our experience in setting it up.

i agree. plus, you never know what the 'next thing' is. google ads are retarded, yea. (no offense ellay/xzin)

and the whole testing hardware stuff, that would be a pretty sweet deal. you guys can always goto some companys and make some sort of partnership, promoting their items for this type of thing, see what their hard/software can really do etc etc.

finally, yea..'newbies' or people with much less computer knowledge (ie, that guy who couldnt get keyclone[program] to work...again no offense) will benefit from something from the likes of which you mentioned, keyclone.
