Hey folks,
Decided to pick up another 3 accounts.
Got a few groups to 70 but that's where I'm stumped...
1) How do you guys deal with movement speed discrepancies?
2) How do you gear up? Is it just run through the rifts and pick up everything, or do you just pick up legendaries/sets?
Cheers

1. If I'm starting from lvl1, I get boots with the same % of movement speed or just 1-2% difference. I rather have no movement speed at all in boots than having dsync issues. At 70, I just use Paragon points to make them all have the same % of movement speed.
2. At the beginning yes, even blue items. At 70 yellows and legendaries. Once u have semi decent gear, just legendaries. This can take a while depending on the class. Melees can be very slow and pretty boring. Ranged classes, specially DH are far easier and less frustrating than melee. A single DH with M6 will literally carry your whole team thru T6 without much effort.

My problem with the DH is I try to play it like a WD and end up dead very quickly. I have a M6 DH but still prefer my pet doc, think it's the meat shield :).
Thanks for the info, I've been just boosting paragon levels by having the alts sit at a T3 rift entrance and then just blitz it with the pet doc

Like Devile I'd rather have no movement speed than differences on my characters. So I will avoid using boots with move speed while leveling. Once you are paragon 200 or over on all accounts you can just use Paragon and forget move speed on gear entirely. For this same reason, avoid all variable movement speed buffs. Things like the rank 25 effect of wreath of lightning, the movespeed passive on WD that requires and out of combat state and pet, or Krelm's belt all sound nice, but because they can activate at different times for your multiple characters causes syncing issues.
As for gearing up it depends. Early on picking up everything is important because yellows can be upgrades and you need the crafting mats, but once I get my teams decently geared and able to run greaters reliably, I stop wasting time picking up most things. Greaters are nice because you get a nice pile of stuff right at the end. I usually pick all that up, everything from goblins or rift guardians, and all legendaries. Early on I also try to pick up as many death breaths as possible.
A simple tip when gearing early is to ID first and gamble second. This way if you get a set piece you need you can then gamble for that slot on your other characters and if a couple of them get the same item you can still trade it to one that didn't.
Another nice trick is saving items. If you aren't going to use a piece immediately and aren't sure which character you will end up needing it on you can create a mule character on one of your accounts. What you do is give the item to the account with the mule and bank it. Jump on the mule and take the item from the bank and put it in its inventory. Then log back to your actual character. What this does is it basically freezes the 2 hour trade timer the item gets tagged with when it dropped and will allow you to use the item on any of your accounts when you eventually decide where you need it. I do this for any item I may need on a specific character later, but it is really helpful with Rama Gifts.

Wow I didn't know we could do this... awesome! I always thought the timer kept going as long as you were online, didn't know it was tied to the character and not the account.

Cheers guys, really not sure about the DH play style. Tried it but I just don't seem to like the actual game while playing them.
Monks on the other hand are more to my style! WD's would be too, but the lag from too many pets is horrendous :(.
Think I'l just mess about now, learning play style etc and really start a 4 man in Season 3....
My personal impressions with classes:
1. Crusaders = great and easy, especially with stampede-based build
2. Monks = great, slightly harder to manage than Crusaders, but still very viable
3. WD = easy to play (especially zoomancer builds), but slooow to kill anything + problems with pets AI (path-finding, doing nothing, etc). Too much fetishes = mess
4. Barbarian = hard to keep in sync, waiting for 2.2 patch to check perma-ancients build with whirlwind to avoid sync problems
5. DH = squishy, hard to keep in sync
