I'm trying to figure out what to play for season 2 - which starts on Feb 13th, 2015.

Devile mentioned he was going to do 4x monks.

I'd normally do crusaders, but the unique seasonal item they get is some belt that looks pretty crappy.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm thinking monks also, the s2 monk bracers seem like they might be crazy good.

DHs get a bow which IMO is not good so I rather farm non season. Wizards and WDs kinda suck right now until they get a fix which won't happen until S3, unless Blizzard wants to screw this season too by adding an important patch mid-season. Barbs have a single build and suck for multibox cause all the dsync, not to mention single target blows. Crusaders are pretty good and fun to multibox but there's no incentive to play S2. The new belt seems lackluster unless they changed something since PTR which is unlikely.

That leaves us with monks. Gungdo Gear is prolly the only interesting item from S2. There's a lot of hype about that single item and a lot of ppl will play monk just cause of it. That doesn't sound good and feels like Blizzard will eventually nerf it. Yet, there aren't any more options IMO.

U can always play whatever just for the fun of starting over, but I'm not too excited about it.

im Going monkx2 right now, still debating to go x4 for friday. having a hard time figuring out to make the jump from dual box to quad-box.

Why having a hard time? Besides hardware requirements, I find x4 being a lot more fun and challenging than x2.

Could be a psychological thing more than anything really. Learning curve/getting use to out-of-sync/ getting back in-sync. Im getting old hahaha. I probably will just break down and 4 box, just gotta pull the trigger really.

I plan to start with Crusaders x 4. They are studier than most and have several good skills and a nice progression for leveling initially. Then I plan to go for the new weapon gem and get it maxed quickly so I can level my other teams. I have some experiments I wan't to do with a Barb x 4 build and a Wiz x4 build. After that I may join the bandwagon and do at least a monk. Not sure if I will multibox a full team of them though.

New weapon gem?

One of the new gems announced in the last Tavern talk 2/10, was about a new weapon gem. The idea is more for twink characters.

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/gem-of-ease

It doesn't say its for weapons on the image, but Wyatt confirmed it on the Tavern Talk. The idea is to level 1 character to T6 capable, get the gem, level the gem. Give the gem to alt and level them up. Its multiplicative with the XP bonus provided by the different difficultly and stacks with the Helm Gem xp bonus %.

I am struggling to choose between 3x crusaders or 3x demon hunters (might go 4x tho) but I like to have 1 slot open for a friend.

I think I'm going 3/4x demon hunters because I have not had them at high tier yet, also it looks fun to throw out 16x turrets.
If not it looks awesome with 4x stampede

Monks were my first love, so I'm definitely going Monks (x4) exclusively for Season 2. The dream is to reach Para 600 and be able to do GR 48's by the end of the season. And to those on the fence, just the 4 player bonus in itself is worth making the move from 2 or 3 accounts imo and you can always make room for a friend.

Season 3 will be Wizards for the new set/item's that will be available that, I hope, will put them back in the meta for 50+ GR's. I have no hope for WD's unless they buff Carnevil and severely reduce the lag associated with the build cause the potential is there

I had 4x Crusaders in S1 and now trying 4x Barbarians in S2. So far I'm liking it - stacking shouts, great mobility, relatively easy to sync positions (charge to a wall) and awesome damage.

Crusaders worked great - very easy to manage, excellent survivability, great damage output and with proper round-robin skill rotation they're certainly viable option for multiboxing.

Hard some subpar experience with 4x Monks - very hard to keep em in sync.

Completely disapponted by 4x WD (zoomancer build, full Zuni set on all 4) - they're just _SLOW_.

Didn't try wizard or DH - they're squishy and due to desync it might be hard to keep em alive.

I'm interested in Barbs. Can you please share your build? I'm sure trash dies very fast, but what about the RG? How high have u gone in GR?

Not far at all - GR10, started this weekend. Just comparing to my 4x Crusader experience.

Using typical Charge - Battering Ram build with some support skills just because I don't have gear yet. I thought it will be hard to manage 4x Barbs with Charge, but it turned out to be not that hard. Plus, if my target is a mob, Charge brings all characters together.

What I liked about Barbs vs Crusaders - mobility. With Crusaders I had to stop in order to kill something, with barbarians I'm just running through.

RG question - I have Frenzy as a main and Hammer of the Ancients as spender. So far - no problems. Once I get gear, will get rid of Hammer in favor of something else.

OK, status update on 4x barbarian.

As I expected, it is pain in the ... to manage barbarians with furious charge without cooldown. Crusader was mostly worry-free experience (they always moved in pack), with barbs it is no longer the case.

It is quite possible I will be able to figure out some slower build with some decent AoE (a-la Condemn or Steed Charge), but decided to try Monks for now.

On other hand, rest of the skills (damage boost, shout synergy, etc) is great.

Sad to hear that. I knew that was the case but since your previous post looked very promising, I was expecting to try them later on.

Well, it was fun to play barbs until I started getting gear and charge can be used more often.

Problem with charge - if there's mob under cursor, character will charge to the mob and stop in front of him instead of charging all way to the pointer under cursor. This breaks formation and makes it hard to play with barbs especially in elite fights.

Anyway, trying 4x monk now and so far so good.

Next patch theres a new rend/WW set coming out so you will be able to play barbs again.
