Cpu: i5-4590 OC 4x 4.3ghz
Gpu: evga GeForce gtx 980 superclocked 4Gb
Ram: 8-32Gb

128gb ssd&1Tb sata3

I want to box 15 characters in that machine. ;-). Is this system good enough?

Btw: maybe I'm going to buy the i7-4790k 4x4.5ghz oc

Edited post. I suggest you become familiar with the rules of this site (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/49138-Dual-Boxing-com-Community-Rules-Read-Before-Posting).

Doubtful, but you're leaving out details. Like... If you want to 15-box at a resolution of 800x600, then yes this is possible. If you want to 15-box at 1920x1080 (or larger), then no.

Okey I changed my system and will buy the following:

Cpu: i7-5280k 6x 4.5 GHz oc
Gpu: 2x 4096MB Gainward GeForce GTX 970 Phantom Aktiv PCIe 3.0 x16 (http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/4096MB-Gainward-GeForce-GTX-970-Phantom-Aktiv-PCIe-3-0-x16--Retail-_976943.html)
Ram: 32gb 1600mhz // maybe 2666 Mhz because my mainboard needs ddr4

resolution 1600x900

You seem pretty confident in that 4.5GHz overclock. ;) I wouldn't factor that in until you're sure it's stable. Other than that, I assume the machine would work fine at the medium-ish resolution, but your GPUs are not going to both run in 16x mode because the 5820K (there is no 5280K) is limited to 28 PCIe lanes. With that said, I have absolutely no idea if this is going to affect you or not.

Cpu Cooler: be quiet! dark rock advanced c1

Cpu: i7 4590k 6x 3.3 ghz (hopefully oc to 3.8 - 3GHz)
ram: Vengeance & ballistix 32GB 1600mhz ddr3
mainboard: asrock x79 extreme9 intel x79 so.2011
gpu: 1x gtx 980 or 2x gainward gtx 970 4gb phantom / should I go for 1 980 or 2 970 ?

Are you upgrading up from? I'm curious where you're coming from with regards to #of boxes or system(s), surely previous multiboxing experience would provide alot of guidance for you?

totally offtopic, but the layout of your build looks a lot like it's made by the alternate.de pc configurator, imarite?

No, I built it myself on www.mindfactory.de :-)

I currently run 15 on:

I7 3930k @ 4.4ghz
2x GTX 970s stock
32g ram
WoW from an SSD

All 15 run at 1920x1080 with minimum graphics on the 14 followers and medium graphics on the main. They're set to run at 20fps in the background, 60fps in foreground.

There is only one place in the open world I've experienced issues: The outskirts of Shattrath. Just the raw number of NPCs my machine is rendering tanks my fps down to 10-15. In Ashran, I have my 'follow' key setview on the followers to zoom all the way in and look at the ground. I get ~20fps on everyone but it's still totally playable. That's pretty good considering my machine is rendering 200+ characters.

My graphics cards are never maxed, but the CPU does hit the roof in the places I mentioned. Maybe when the next generation of processors becomes available I'll upgrade and see about performance.
