Hi there, I started dualboxing using two priests and it was really fun, I was effective with them and they are sitting around 63 with my friend's warrior. And because I want to level those two with his warrior I've got to start a new team to have fun with multiboxing!

Anyway, I decided I'd start 3 mages thinking that I'll keep to the same class still because I'm not too good at multitasking but I'm pretty good with macros. Unfortunately I noticed that the mage specs branch out quite a bit from each other (I guess so they don't feel exactly the same). This kinda ruins my plan of having Frost, Fire, Arcane themed mages running around together.

Any suggestions for making this possible?

Why is it difficult? It certainly adds a layer of complexity but if you define the three instances ahead of time and send appropriate keys to each one based on their specs, then it should work pretty well.

At the simplest, you could put your in-game attack macro on your favorite key(s) and then just use broadcasting software to /assist and then pure broadcast those attack keys among the three.

At the more complex end of things, you can use something like ISBoxer which will let you define complex, spec-based macros and multi-step systems that will dynamically manage your team potentially much more effectively.

Question for you: what multiboxing tool(s) are you using today? Need free or have some budget to spend?

I'm using HotKeyNet and Jamba, I can't figure out jamba-proc so thats why 3 different specs seems hard for me, at least for leveling. I started my mages today and now they are level 55 but I switched to do most of it as arcane (super easy rotation).

I do want to try using 3 different specs and maybe now with more abilities they will have more common ground.

I want to keep it free, I bought the $5 wow subs to start boxing but its so much fun I might have to pay for subs eventually.

How do I send alt modifiers to the game window using HKN? or is there a better program I should learn (without paying).

I normally use macros and modfiers to play any of my characters. So being without is kinda limiting.

There's a bunch of guides for HotKeyNet in the Newbie's Guide Sticky (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/36955-Newb-s-Guide-to-Multiboxing-Start-here-if-you-are-brand-new-to-Multiboxing?p=322298&viewfull=1#post322298). The first post under the HotKeyNet section is my guide on understanding and editing the HotKeyNet starter scripts, which includes adding keys via Keylist (http://hotkeynet.com/ref/keylist.html). Or you can simply add it as a Hotkey (http://hotkeynet.com/ref/hotkey.html).
