Carried over from Isboxer.com

Goal: Looking to run 5 box WOD at 'ultra/good' settings w/o lag.

Did some homework, looks like I can stick with ATX and use existing case.

CPU/MOBO combo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1920421

GPU until 980 TI: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125682

DDR4 32gb (4x8): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231786

Approx total pre-tax/rebates not incl: $1890.00

1. Will this system reach above goal? yes, maybe, no-way
2. Are there better alternatives (cheaper do the same thing?)

Thanks,

Zork

I'd say it's your best shot at reaching your goal since everything you're buying is current generation and, for the most part, top of the line.

Appreciate it MiRai.

I'm just wondering if waiting for next-gen stuff would make more fiscal sense, or go as cheap as I can now and then spend on next gen?

Is there a good source(s) to keep briefed on gaming specific hardware without reading Tom's Hardware (site has gotten massive)?

Thanks again,

Zork
