[WoW] Exp Increasing Items [Archive]

Not sure if WoD changed most of the stuff, but I cant find any items that bind to bnet account that will increase experience gained by x%..

Well, not none.. But I could only find back and head gear from guild vendor and leg (yet to unlock)..

is there other way that can boost some alts to 90 faster? atm im using those 2 gear + repeating instance runs.. so far 3 days and level 32 only -_-

Blizzard temporarily removed the heirlooms that were previously sold for Justice Points, due to justice points going away. For a short while the PTR had them for sale for gold, but they changed their minds and said that they will re-release them later with some other way of obtaining them.

You can still get the guild heirlooms like you already found, and there's also some PvP heirlooms available for honor, and lastly there is the Argent tournament, but it will take a while to get those.

On sundays you can try for the fishing extravaganza for a ring, but theres usually a lot of competition, and the ring only provides 5% bonus exp.

A good investment is also getting guild banners for your toons. The best one (http://www.wowhead.com/item=64399) increases XP from killing monsters for guild members within 100 yards by 15%. Having a few of these in your group and cycling through them can result in a decent chunk of extra XP for your group, especially when doing big AOE pulls (for example monkey runs).

Then there's of course Elixir of Ancient Knowledge (http://www.wowhead.com/item=86574/elixir-of-ancient-knowledge) (at least I've not heard of it being removed). Hard to aquire, but on quiet realms or by camping multiple realms at a time, you might just get lucky to get some of these. I did get about 4 of these just casually checking for the mob every now and then and they do make a huge difference.

thanks man! looks like i found the easiest one to get xtra exp.. i dont really pvp.. so honor option's not for me.. fishing.. maybe not.. i guess i'm left with just what i have now..

Did they remove the heirlooms from the Argent tournament vendor? I haven't been on for a while to check.

I haven't looked myself, but they said they weren't removing those.

So you can still get the chest, shoulders and weapons at the Argent Tourney, but you can't upgrade to L85 cap due to removal of the JP heirlooms. Well at least 80-85 goes by quick enough.

darkmoon fair has hairlooms as well! and a "ride" you can get 10% xp for a hour.

wow.. seems quite a lot of stuff that can get xtra xp.. am just having head gear for +10% xp.. boosting a pally and priest at the moment.. getting to level 10 is painful enough.. but each deadmine run can get me 1 level (around 5 mins for 1 run).. just that getting there is painfully slow as well.. gonna go to stockade today to run them to around 20.. hopefully can do it fast enough..

Just remember to always "park" your toons in an inn when you log off. Rested XP is a big deal. :P

hmm.. i gues the leveling process is faster at lower level... once my toons hit 21.. i went to scarlet hall.. on my L84 mage.. i cant even arcane explosion one hit ko the normal elite mobs.. -_- made my runs alot slower.. compared to deadmine or stock.. i guess boosting going to be slower n slower.. ~

but anyway, how do u guys start on a new server? like.. juz form a 5 man and start from lv1? or get a high level over and boost a new team?

I brought a single level 10 over with bags and gold to fund a team on a new server. Then just leveled them up from 1.

well..the only fun i get running a team from lv 1 now.. is only the dungeon runs.. other than that.. the quest and traveling pains me :(

Regarding the new server startup. You can mail your heirlooms to your same battlenet characters, on other servers, to help your leveling.

I am leveling a team 85-90 right now and noticed they change the leveling curve significantly in our favor. I haven't read the patch notes to confirm. I am getting 2% per quest turn in and I am moving to the next zone after 2 maybe 3 quest hubs. Really fast.

Apparently you can only mail herilooms to connected servers. Wont let me send draka->bleeding hollow
You can mail your heirlooms to any character on any server using the format: CharacterName-ServerName

Leave out any spaces for realms that have spaces in their names.

I tried to do some boosting via a low level dungeon, toon "A" level 18, toon "B" lvl 90
just the 2 in ragefire chasm, the lvl 18 got zero xp when trying to run him through.
did something change with regards to boosting?
Now, it's fair to mention that they are on 2 different servers/bnet accts, but that shouldn't matter.
You've never been able to boost with only two characters (one being the booster and the other being the boosted) because you don't meet the RaF requirement of being within 4 levels of each other. You need a low-level account linked to character A if you want them to receive any RaF benefits.

i understand the RaF deal, I just created 5 using that and fully understand the level within 4 deal as well as granting levels.
...however I know i ran my son's toon through a few dungeons, and i was 90 his was 57 and he was getting xp for that.

... the level 18 was getting NO XP at all. RaF wouldn't apply in this case... the booster was a 90 on my veteran acct... and the lvl 18 was on my new Bnet acct.
I created a new Bnet acct with 5 toons using the RaF for them only, I know I can't use the veteran to get the raf bonus.

...the reason I tried the XP boosting is one toon was like 5% off of the other 4 toons, so I just wanted to bring that guy up to the same as the other 4 rather quickly.

But you should still get the completion xp and bonus right? when i boosted 2 toons (from 10 to 30ish) with my 84.. at the start my 2 toons get NO xp on mob kills, but still get completion xp.. as they level, they start getting like 1xp per kill or 2xp per kill and boss net them 30+xp.. kinda sucks.. but the completion bonus makes it worthwhile cuz i almost net 1 level for them per run.. on instances like stock, my toons juz stand at the entrance and each run is like 3 mins?

I thought there was an xp cap when boosting with one much higher? Would be faster to level it on it's own than try boost it with that big a lvl difference.. my partner tried to boost one of my lower tons alone and I got less xp with him than without.

if you are going after the completion bonus running through dungeons, it makes sense as one run may be around 5 mins and net you 1 level (due to completion bonus), comparing with running the toons thru the dungeon, you still get mayb 1.5 to 2 levels per run, but takes much longer. however, when you reach higher level, the process gets slower and from then, boosting would be slower, at best same..
