View Full Version : Win Trading

Well I just watched Mercurio's excellent videos of him soloing many of the SoO bosses.
I was hoping to be the first with this great achievement but alas I am not.
It is becoming very clear that I am at a substantial disadvantage as to all other boxers because I seem to be the only boxer who does not win trade for conquest gear.
My guys are around 530 ilevel vs. everyone else being 555ish.

Exactly how are you guys justifying win trading when it would seem to me that most other players would question the legality of winning against your own accounts?
Do you just figure; hey we are paying for multiple accounts so we can do anything with them that we wish?

Wait you are complaining and the character you linked doesn't even have the legendary cloak? Please spare us your whining because you failed.
If you have actual evidence to support your claims, all the power to you. But to come on here and accuse a very legitimate boxer of win trading because that's the only justification you can come up with for not being the first at SoO content is baseless and trolling and will get you a nice little ban.

Unless a suspected wintrader is gonna record and upload his games, it's gonna be fairly hard to have hard evidence. But one can look at the alts of the linked toon and spot for some of his toons a 77% winrate, and for others a 33% winrate, over the course of several 100 games. Taking that into account, sam his claim ain't really trolling tbh.

Of course if there are definitive numbers to support fine. But we've all been down this road and nothing good comes out of it, or at least no resolution except for a lot of bitching and whining on both ends of the issue.
Look multiboxing is already cast as botting, and cheating in many of the communities eyes. Blizzard tolerates it. We have to try to stay as legitimate as we can, otherwise our way of playing this game will come to an end. However coming on these boards and whining because you weren't first in something is pointless. Just do the content, defeat the bosses and claim victory as a LEGITIMATE boxer.

Farming better gear for your tanks and healers seems to be the smartest possible way to prepare for multiboxing content that wasn't really designed to be multiboxed.

With the crew you hang with Sam I assume you could quickly grind kick ass PvE gear (all be it late) and be done with it. I am not sure why you are having issues with iLevel progression. If I can get 24 legendary cloaks and grind you should be able to Sam.
I dont understand the win trading accusation (especially the "all other boxers"), you are not sharing anything to back that up.

This item is ONLY available with conquest points. NO boxer has posted a SINGLE video of them winning a match that gives conquest points, let alone showing how they could possibly come up with 2200 conquest points.
I am not picking anyone out but its crystal clear everyone is doing it, cept me.

There is a conquest "catch up" and at the moment you can get ~25k+ conquest in less than a few hours of playing.
Anyone can go from fresh 90 to fully geared 550+ pvp gear in a few hours. ymmv

Also, I opened a ticket a couple of weeks ago asking if I was allowed to win-trade as a multiboxer under 1300 MMR, and the GM told me that I was not allowed to do so, and that doing so could result in a ban. So I decided against doing it on my new Boomkin team. But that's just cause I prefer playing it safe.
lol wtf did you expect them to say.

Edit: Sam - Just stick with accusing the guy who made you butthurt. Atleast you have a case there. However, all it does once again is make you look like a gigantic douchebag

I think if we look at the news for most boxers toons it was not done as fat tire suggests but that aside maybe it is possible:
Im gonna share my story.
Me and a friend just boosted an Ele and a Lock to 90, first we thought wed just spend 10k gold to get boosted, but we tried to do some 2s first.
We started out as 1:7 W/L now were fully capped and above 50% W/L
Took us about 6-8 hours in total (20800 cap)
Just play youll end up at 500 mmr, and you meet undergeared people or just plain retards who only knows to press buttons
Also #struggle 550 Healer/DPS teams at 1500 mmr.

I guess it has to be done one toon at a time (well if you plan to win) but maybe it is a ligit way to gear up.
I don't see 2500 battles, but 481 is also a lot, maybe I am wrong. So basically you are saying you have done one toon at a time like 500ish arena battles to get your gear, well that does seem possible. Clearly gearing 10 is less work then 28 ....

Judging from some of the armory statistics perhaps losstrading would be more accurate.

Ummm....did this thread just turn from a drama lama awesomesauce thread into a boring help thread?
It takes anywhere from 40-50 rbg wins to 80-140 arena wins to max the cap, depending on how high the cap is and how high your rating gets.

Its not an issue related just to boxers. You did it and you got banned(forgot which season) of course yours was for R1. Alot of players(non-boxers) do it all the time and mercurio did it(its obvious), but its also the best and quickest way to get geared.
Everybody knows my stance, all you have to do is look through my post history.
However, at the end of the day boxers already have a bad image. So mods should just start deleting any threads/posts that have anything to do with breaking the tos as they usually do. Sam could have just pm'd mercuiro aswell

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/azgalor/Bettysue/simple 3 enhancement shaman all me...I don't wintrade to win, I just mongo in and blow people up before they know what happened :P. I'm no superstar, but it works. I'm the only active person in my guild so feel free to check the other 90's. Just takes learning and patience. This part of the season sucks because you are going to run into the carry teams, and essentially run against several glad teams with a fairly new tag-along. Broad accusations with a poorly thought out line of reasoning backing them, is a bit pretentious to say the least...try running 3's for about 20 rounds and learn the ropes, you might just find you can learn to do it all on your own. Killing someone with 15+ chars isn't pvp maybe that's what is making it hard for you to grasp the idea of success in arena. You need to match yourself against an opponent with equal numbers, before you can even begin to improve your skill in pvp. Anyway good luck...

This is the one and only warning I'm dropping before I start banning like I get prizes for it. Discussion about violating a game's rules is NOT allowed. Attacking other people is NOT allowed. There is a ZERO TOLERANCE policy (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/49138-Dual-Boxing-com-Community-Rules-Read-Before-Posting) here on this and I am not afraid of banning people.
Now, for some reason, this thread has been left open. I can only guess it's out of boredom. Because I don't feel like spending my Saturday answering PMs about why I'm stifling free discussion and how I'm an evil dictator or a typical woman or some such, I'll leave it alone. But as I said..."like I get prizes for it."
And no, I don't actually get prizes for it.

It's the kind of logic priests have used for decades towards their peers: 'if you gonna tell the outside world I touch little dicks it's gonna reflect bad on our congregation, our monastery and the church as a whole. so let me keep touching little dicks and we'll be fine'.
Maybe, just maybe, some people don't want to be associated with their peers who violate the rulles. And instead of dropping the responsibility ball on your fellow multiboxers you should look how your own actions hurt the multiboxing community.

Going to end this thread as obviously the discussion turned to TOS violations as a thing to do. It is not, that's not what this community has been and wants to be. Legitimacy in what we do is of utmost importance, if you break the rules set by Blizzard DO NOT come here spouting about it. Just don't.
Note: Threads mentioning blatant TOS violations have been removed.
Thanks Khatovar!
And congrats on your newly minted award! (Check it out next to Khatovar's post.)
We've had this awards system installed for a while, but we have not made use of it yet. :)
