Hey guys,
I jumped on the D3 bandwagon really late, like a month ago, and am only running 2 accounts.
I've levelled 2 Wizards to 70, and whilst it's plenty of fun I'd like to try a mixed team with some synergy. There are a lot of posts here about mixed 4 teams, but not really anything about 2.
I really have no idea what other class I should add. I've started boosting a WD, but it's pretty quick to boost so I'd happily change it out for something else.
Would anyone here (who has a lot more experience than me) be willing to give me some advice to at least get me moving in the right direction?
Cheers.

For me, given the 2.0 smart loot changes I now only box the same class together so if I get drops I can be sure that if it's an upgrade I'll get it to the most needed character rather than have it get wasted....eg if I got a firebirds robe and only had one wiz in group that already had it I'd kick myself.
If you really want to 2-box different classes the only combos worth it would be wiz/wd, barb/crusader, yeah you could also do with dh/monk but I don't think monk has enough ranged attacks to make it workable but outside of leveling them to 70 I haven't touched monk since.
In terms of playing make sure to set up your keys to move each character independantly (comes in really handy when you have one pair of nemesis bracers and want to make sure that character hits the shrine) and set up your ingame keybind for "move to cursor" (which I think is default Z) and use that for moving rather than mouse clicks since it will make sure you don't randomly click on ground drops on one character and then get out of sync as the other goes running past

Okay, yeah that's a good point about the way loot works and something I didn't really consider.
Maybe I'll just boost the WD as high as I can, then swap over and boost another WD to the same level, then play the 2 WD's as a separate team.
As far as keeping in sync, I actually find it quite easy with just 2 (as long as I keep movement speed the same) but can see that it would get a lot tougher with 4.
It's really easy with 2 to just turn off mouse broadcast and switch screens back and forth.
Thanks!

You can still mix teams.
Lets say a strength item drops and it's an upgrade for a barbarian you have, but at the moment you're using a monk on that account. You just need to give that monk the strength item, put it in stash, switch chars on that account and get it on the barbarian.

yes, but the odds of a str item dropping while playing an int or dex based class is very, very low so it's easier to just run with the type you need drops on
