I just locked out my account and had to reset password/code verification/first name last name NIGHTMARE to get it back.

All I wanted to do was view some characters' information online and apparently it thought I was being hacked.

I HATE Blizzard.

The same thing happens when you travel, too.

Tried to use the android phone app last year, same thing. While I was sitting next to the computer.

if you got SMS setup then i did not have to many probs as soon as it knows about your work place then the system is very forgiving. i used to have probs using my phone with the remote AH app or playing Heathstone on my tablet at work.

but as soon as i did the sms once it seems to be fine at work/home.

Sms? I periodically forget blizzards draconian security and have to go through resetting the password.

the code they text you, if they think your getting hacked (eg: logged from unknown place) they sent a sms saying they locked the accont with a code you just ender after your auth code everything is ok.

I also use SMS. Don't see any reason not to.

I refuse to set up 4 separate phone numbers for my 4 BNET accounts. You're not allowed to use a phone number across multiple accounts.

Setup 4 google voice accounts and forward them all to your one phone.

Have you actually tried that? Does it violate googles terms of service?

I haven't tried it. You need a separate email for each voice account so that would match up well for multiple Bnets.

Edit: I just setup a new google account and got a new voice number from google. Looks like it is doable.

I have logged into my battle.net at work and at home now for years.
No issues and I do not have to reset my passwords everytime.

Travel all over the states on a regular basis and no issues, I just use the authenticator. A few years back I had trouble when I was in Canada, but not since then.
