As an update into what I've been doing lately, some real life friends have started playing, and just my luck, they decided they wanted to do a PvP server. Well, I raised my original hunter on a PvP server, so I'm used to the types of stuff that goes on there, but I'm really more of a PvE person, which is where I've done most of my multiboxing.

Right now, my group is a Paladin, Shaman, Druid, Priest, Mage.

Well, suffice to say, my time out of the fray has really dulled my senses. Case in point, the other day my group (22 at the time) was in Ashenvale when we got into a fight with a 30 Shaman and a 29 Warrior. I managed to kill the warrior fairly easily, but started running into the same problem I had with my hunters, which is to say I still hadn't figured out how to handle things close up.

Well, its really depressing finding out you can't handle 2 players with 5 (despite the level difference. It has much less of an impact in PvP anyway) so I started going over what I could have done better.

Well, a nice list started forming, generally consisting of stuff I rarely use in PvE. I could polymorph and Frost Nova with my mage, Psychic scream with my priest, root with the Druid (or sleep if I ever come across such things), drop Earthbinds with the Shaman, throw DoTs with just about everyone in some form or other, utilize my stuns, etc.

Suffice to say, I've got a fair list going on what I'm going to stick on an alternate action bar specifically for PvP encounters. So here's the deal: Does anyone have any handy tricks that really help out in PvP? I'm planning on making a focus macro for the mage so he can keep someone polymorphed straight for a fair bit of time, but beyond that, I'm struggling to find better ways of doing things.

If anyone has some good tips, they would be much appreciated.

Definitely would like to help out on this :)

Been doing quite a few of the 3v3 arenas ( undefeated!!) and 5v5's..

First train of thought is what is the worst possible scenario for any case and find easy ways to remedy it.

Major issues are fear. Make sure you have a way out at all times. For me I always have my Insignia of the Alliance on, even when I'm in PvE, an AoE bomb at the wrong time completely offsets my play.

With Mages it works out a little better if other players get up close and personal. I have the option to frost nova and AoE bomb them or blink out and space myself.

For your setup to make things interesting, I would possibly have 1 key that would aoe fear with the priest. Frost nova with the mage, and earthbind totem with the shaman. They are pretty much cc'd in every possible form and you can do your bidding.

I would also say the worst thing that can happen when you mutibox PvP is getting hit with a fear bomb.

Also, mutiboxing doesn't remove the class weaknesses. Warriors are weak vs mages, warlocks weak vs rogues.. etc.

I started by dueling with only using one hand over and over, and adjust keyboard and macros until I started winning regularly. Once you are comfortable add in your second account and start pvping. Practice and more practice.
