Yarr!
I decided that farming exalted for my Shaman in order to make the +63 damage trinket was my best bet--It's something easy and repetitve that I can do while I watch a movie. So, after playing around in MgT for a bit, here are my numbers:
There are 18 mobs that give 12 rep per kill, 16 mobs that give 9 rep per kill, and then the first boss who gives 120 rep per kill. When you multiply that out... 480 rep per run, and with my Warrior+4 Shaman I can do a full run plus reset in 15 minutes (minus wipes, I'm still getting used to this place). You get gold+1 Large Prismatic per run, and a chance at the BoP 20 slotter that's a random drop from the instance.
My only gripe so far is the sheer damage that these mobs do--With no CC it's like running a low grade heroic. Aggro is very touchy too, I've noticed--Yeah, I'm using my Warrior but still... Something's wonky. Once I get more used to it I'm sure it'll stop pissing me off. So, on to my clear strategy:
Lay down Poison, SoE, WF, and WoA. Pull first two mobs. Pull pats first pass. Both of these sets are cake. Move up a bit, drop 4x Grounding, pop Bloodlust number 1 and kill the two healers first. If I'm over half health I'll pull the right side the same way, pop Bloodlust number 2 if number 1 has faded. Move up to the four pull. IIRC, no healer so the kill order isn't as important. Go around into the first bosses room and make the center 2 pull (easy), and then do right/left. These pulls are actually really easy, even with my Warrior tanking. Just drop 4x Grounding every 15 seconds and burn them down with LB.
I station the girls just inside the door, drop regular totem set, pop Bloodlust number 3 and engage. Once he goes to one of the gems I just swap targets and shoot two LB volleys at it. On non-heroic it's cake, he does very little damage even with the AE. Once he's down loot and scoot--I can hit zone in 15 minutes from zone in if I don't lose anyone along the way.
I'm assuming the rep will continue all the way 'till exalted, so... Factoring in food and rest breaks you're only talking about ~30 hours of work from neutral reputation and with you NOT doing any of the dailies... Which are a) ridiculously easy, and b) very good gold.
All in all the instance is decently fun, though frustrating without any CC.
