I am about to reroll on a new server as the one I am on is is slowly dieing.

I only dual box, and I was planning on RAFing with 2 new accounts to get the new mount and pig pet, and to get new toons on my 2 main accounts (obviously). Once RAF is over I will be back to dual boxing my 2 main accounts.

My main accounts are A & B, I was planning to setup RAF with accounts C & D as per: A>C, B >D

So I firstly I was wondering if this setup will get me 2 of the new RAF bonuses, and secondly I was wondering if I can go 1-85 just dungeon spamming or will I need a 5th account to make it viable.

First team disc priest, hunter hunter hunter
2nd team Prot warrior or pally, mage mage monk(heals)
3rd team DK, DK, DK, DK
4th team Ele or resto Shaman, Enh Shaman Enh Shaman Enh Shaman

If I do need the 5th account can I setup up RAF to get another 1 of the new pet pigs?

Thanks!

I'm sure having only four is doable, but you might run into some issues on certain instances later on. You also can't use the LFD tool unless you want a random person to join in with you and you'll be stuck walking to dungeons yourself. You could always be a total dick and just kick the random person, but... that's kind of being a dick. >_>

As for running five, you could always just use your A or B account to recruit another. It'd be a confusing RaF recruitment tree, but as long as everyone was running together there would be no issues.

I guess running with a 5th account would make the grinding take less time too, I'm tempted.

I think dungeon finder with RAF and heirlooms is the fastest. And as Mirai said, you'd need 5 to use the dungeon finder.

I did a 4 box team recently when I only had 4/5 accounts active and wanted to blast out my weekly dungeons quickly, and I found that even with the tank being in the group queues are sometimes 10 minutes to find a healer. You'll definitely run into that problem when you level through 55-65 (because plenty of fresh DKs want to tank dungeons).

Tips if you choose to go that route:

Some people are going to dislike you, they are going to sit at the entrance and refuse to heal or make snotty comments. I find being nice is a good way to dissipate this reaction before it can happen by being honest and saying "Good morning, I'm just getting in some guild runs to level my bank guild, make sure you need on anything that you want for any reason." In 37 dungeons (just looked up that stat on my tank) I had 2 healers leave at the beginning, one without saying anything and one after saying something snotty. I also had a healer leave halfway through wailing caverns, although he didn't say anything so that could easily have been about wailing caverns being too damn long. I also had three or four healers that wanted to requeue specifically and several others that wanted to know more about multiboxing. I answered their questions politely as always. Talking is how you become a person and not a bot. That is always my social strategy when boxing.

Run passloot the addon and set it to pass any BOP blues your team can't use. I personally also make sure I manually tab over and pass any loot that the healer actually Needs on, needing on an upgrade and waiting two minutes while the other people in the instance let the timer tick down is the kind of thing that makes me irritated so I don't want to do it to others.

Make sure you have something set up to heal yourself and the healer if something goes wrong.

4 boxing is more stressful than 5 boxing because of that pesky other person, but not necessarily $15 more stressful.

I'm 4 boxing right now and I do one group (pally, priest, druid, hunter) w. my gf (warlock) which is great as I set FFA and she loots while I kill shit.I tried w. another group when she's playing something else (warrior, shaman, mage, lock) and LFG for a dungeon sucks as all 4 dungeons I got all had dipshits deliberately trying to fuck me up as the 3rd dps aka pull every damn thing and run to my group. I ended up just doing regular quests on them and to hell with dungeons unless they are on the way to something I want.To me that 5th account would be handy but I already have them at 43 and leveling another to 43 to group w. them and not do RAF (current accounts don't have it) would be a pain in the ass.

Try friendliness and make the pug spot be the healer spot not a dps.

Thanks for the input, I ended up running with 5 accounts. My first team is disc priest and 4 hunter slaves (one with a tenacity pet).

I hit up BFD when the team hit lvl 16 (oh god, why) and got through on my first pass to the lvl 25 murloc boss whose crushing blows murdered me. 2nd pass after reseting and killing trash, when the team was lvl 20, got me throguh the full instance no problem. I then hit Stormwind Stockades twice, again with no problems.

Team is at lvl 26, was thinking of doing Gnomergon next (for the feels, haven't played alli for 2 years now).

I have never healed before, but I'm loving disc and find hunters just melt face. I'm using the standard blizz raid frames and mouse-over macros, unfortuantely the blizz frames don't track debuffs on the pets though so I may have to start using Vuhdo or something similar.
