Shaman Trinkets!

Currently just about finished with honor grinding for the last random piece or two I need on my 4x Shaman... Minus trinkets >< I'm looking for some inspiration here to be honest!

Shiffar's Nexus Horn? Doable x4?

Quagmirran's Eye? Doable x4?

Battlemaster's +Dmg x4? Do I have the patience?

Anyone have any suggestions?

The battlemaster trinkets are probably the fastest to gather actually unless you get insanely lucky with drops each run :).

I don't mind just doing power runs for whatever, it's a question of how fast can I get to and down the last boss in Arc for the Horn? I know Quagmirran's Eye is a good drop rate but you have to do it in heroic iirc. Just looking for everyone's input :)

and im nearly exalted with sha'tar and no horn. and my brother capped exalted and still running and cant get the horn either.

The battlemaster trinket is crazy, I have the atk power one on my hunter and several other people in guild have them. The stats are decent but that hp boost. omg even tho its only 1700 or so you feel like you cant be killed in pvp haahah, his shaman has 14k hp when he pops cooldowns in a BG.

Nexushorn rarely drops; trust me on that from lots of experience trying to get it. lol
Quag Eye - Drops often enough you could get it for all chars. Also highly recommend it for it's haste proc. Might throw your bolts off occasionally but when you NEED it it's worth it. I still wear my quag eye when my Gnome Trinket is on cooldown lol
Battlemaster trinkets SUCK. HARD. Do not waste your time. :P

I'm in a similar situation with my five elemental shamans now. Here's my current equipment:

From what was stated above the Nexus-Horn is nice but it drops very poorly. Something like 12% is mentioned in some of the databases - if true, that's 8 runs per drop. So for five toons it would require 40 runs... If I plan one hour per Arcatraz run (optimistic, I know), it would take 40 hours ingame only for that trinket. That seems a bit too steep.

In the same time, I could easily get the Icon of the Silver Crescent ('http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29370') Trinket just by going to Karazhan twice.

Any recomdendations for feasible ways to improving my equipment are greatly appreciated and very welcome.

I got extremely lucky and got 3 Lightning Capacitors in a row for my 3 shamans. I pair that will Icon of the Silver Crescent. Total fluke to get them that way though (same runs provided 3 Mindblades too...). One of the other shamans I do Karazhan with waited months for a Lightning Capacitor.

The Battlemaster trinkets are barely better than Xiri's Gift, which is a Rep reward.

If you aren't opposed to AFKing, 2 good days in AV will get you those trinkets. I realize many people are very much against it, and can see why, but if you down, just all enter different AVs, find yourself a nice spot, and spam jump every 3 mins. Watch your self some T.V. or play another video game (if you have 2 computers like myself, lol) and it's a nice relaxing day.

Off topic but I have run Heroic Underbog 15+ times and cannot get the drops I want. The shaman healing helm has never dropped off the 2nd boss. Out of 4 possible epics off the last boss I want 2 of them. So far the shaman kilt dropped 1 time. The last 6 days in a row the barkchip boots have dropped. Before that it was the melee ring over and over. It has to be something with coilfang because the shaman healing boots have not dropped off the second boss of slavepens either. My suggestion to anyone is run what you can get through. I would never farm normal ARc for a trinket. Even though my drops wont happen I am getting badges. If you can run heroic instances that have the trinket or items you want I say go for it.

have you tried subbing a single "+dmg on use" trinket (like icon of the silver crescent) for one of the two, for increased burst-dps-combo? wonder if it would be worth it, losing 20 dmg all the time (63 from alchy trinket to 43 from icon) for the 155 extra damage on your burst macro, and subsequent spells

Well, I *did* think about it, but... I only have a Warrior to tank with, so badge farming is tedious at best. If I didn't already have the Alch trinket I would probably farm up the Icon, but now that I've already put in the ~93 MG first boss runs to get it... I'm gonna stick with it :)

And farming Battlemaster's happened in one good day of AV on AV weekend. It's ridiculous what you can make if you just sit there and do it all day.

I strongly reccomend against this. Not only is it against the EULA, but its also immoral and very annoying for us that actually enjoy pvping in BG's.

I hope Blizzard ban all BG-afkrs or at least removes their gear :(

And haven't Blizz been cracking down on repeat offenders recently? As we've seen with arena points scandals etc you never know when Blizz might change from a stance of dissaproval to actual physical action (gear removal) for doing things like this.... I definately wouldn't risk it. Plus as a boxer, you are high profile, you'll make a bad name for yourself if your whole team AFKs the whole BG, basically guaranteeing a loss for your team.

BTW about the flaming of the poster above me, i can see why people are opposed to ppl afking and i can see why people would want to just afk. What I do is each game i run to IBGY, i do my best to help cap it etc, then i guard it for the rest of the game killing anything that comes near or comes past while watching a heroes series or something on my other monitor. So i AM helping the AV by allowing ally to hold IBGY the whole game :P

Skycall totem will ensure that you get a.) carpal tunnel or b.) banned for using a G15's auto-repeat features. Every shaman's cast timers will be out of whack, guaranteed. Totem of the Void is superior for burst in PvP and is darn handy in PvE. I also have the Totems of the Pulsing earth (-27mana/LB), which I highly recommend for PvE farming. I can do an entire LPS farm run of Steamvaults and need to drink less than three times with that baby equipped. I also like it for my raiding shaman in situations where I'm not grouped with a shadowpriest.

I can attest to the carpal tunnel with skycall totems. They're better dps, but it comes at a price.

Also, when I run Karazhan, I run out of mana before the fight is over anyway and I'm too lazy to use pots, so haste doesn't do anything for me in the long term. I use skycall on trash and void on bosses.

I farmed 3x Totem of the Void.
One day, I was 0 for 6 clears just to the cache.
The next night, I was 4 for 4 so I DE the 4th one.
It's just so randomly weird.

My first Badge purchase will be the Skycall Totem for sure! Since all 3 shamans are Alchemist with the stone, I have a keybind quaffing mana potions.
My rogue herbalist & engineer bought the Mana Potion Injector to supply my 3 shaman's needs. :)
