Hey I'm currently considering three-boxing over 2-boxing and wanted to ask what is more efficient in terms of leveling (i.e. quicker). As of now I have two mages, warrior/priest, priest/hunter/hunter and was thinking of priest/lock/lock too.
Your thoughts? (currently have Golf, Course, Foursome as my toons hehe......hunter/hunter/priest with priest being main control).

I just recently started 3 boxing as well. I had been 2 boxing, but decided to upgrade.
Currently I am working on
Shaman/Shaman/Shaman
But I also plan to try out the following:
Warlock/Warlock/Priest
Good luck with whatever you decide!

Was given a suggestion to try pally/priest/mage. You experienced dual-boxers...will this be too complicated for a beginner? Your opinions would be greatly appreciated! :)
The priest/hunter/hunter is going well so far...already lvl 20. Warrior/priest is good too just not as fast but I dont die (warrior is fury). Really interested in the priest/lock/lock idea or even pally/mage/warlock (lock casting nukes).
I doubt later on I'll be playing all (3) in instances...unless they are two mages...two locks...two hunters...etc. I want to be able to do raids so..just food for thought on my goals.
Thanks!

Hey, I just started 3-boxing this week as well. Seems like the "Light-Boxers" choice. From what I've gathered, these are the typical combinations.
3-Boxing
- 3 Shamans: The good safe easy combo. They Heal, they Cast, they have good melee. No class specific talents or quests to muck things up for you.
- 1 Priest, 2 Mages: The Power House (Of the 3-box set up) Good damage, some great heals from the priest but if he falls, so does the team. Decent class synergy though and great DPS.
- 1 Priest, 2 Warlocks: No idea here, but perhaps a lot like the Priest-2xMage combo. People have brought it up though.
- 1 Priest, 1 Mage, 1 Warlock: Apparently a lot of great utility and decent DPS. Whole lot of tools and tricks. Might be a pain to play though.
- 1 Warrior, 1 Priest, 1 Mage: Your standard group with just one man. Word has it, great for taking out Epic mobs around your level, Good DPS and good survivability.
Those are the ones I've heard about. I'm going with the Priest and 2x Mages set up. But a 3x Shaman set up is clearly next.

I don't consider myself experienced just yet, but in my opinion a pally + mage + anything would be a great combination. A protection pally for aoe tanking, then have the mage to run in and aoe down the mobs at little to no risk. It just sounds too good to be true.
If you don't want the holy trinity (tank + healer + dps) then I might even suggest to go with two mages. Salv them both and aoe grind to your hearts content.

I am having a blast doing a druid/shaman/shaman combination. It was rather easy to learn at the start for keybindings and such and except for shaman having miserable mana efficiency early on I had little downtime. Also eventually gives me the room to respec the druid from feral to oomkin and get the totem caster buffs + the oomkin buff.
I would think though that it is completely dependant on your play style and what you want to accomplish.
