So, I bought the Fragpedal Quad (http://www.gamingmouse.com/gaming/fragpedal/quad/) back... a few years ago (? I don't remember how long it's been) and never ended up actually getting around to using them. But now there's a new type of footpedal in town called the Stinkyboard (I've been semi-following it since its Kickstarter), and I'm tempted to get one because it looks like it might be worth it.

Has anyone gotten a chance to see one of these up close?

I know a guy in a wheelchair without use of his arms/legs and has a footpedal something like this (not this pretty) and it sits behind his back. He leans in a direction to activate it. The stinkyboard device looks like it could work the same way, even better with the return-to-neutral tech.

I only mention because unlike other footpedals this one seems like it could more easily be used for other things than just your foot.

That is an interesting thought, and I might have to give it a try when mine arrives next week. ;)

I was actually planning on eventually doing another video sometime in the near future where I went over all of my peripherals, but I need to fire up some teams again and get things set up before I can comment on how they help me when multiboxing. ;)

Does anyone have one yet? I'm curious what functions you intend to use for it? Ctrl-shit-alt modifiers? switching between active key-sets? Does it have good tactile feedback?

I received mine weeks ago, but since multiboxing is on hold at the moment I haven't had a chance to really use it for anything special. I plan on using it for L/R slave strafing, but I'm not sure what the other two buttons will be used for at the moment.

As for tactile feedback... I mean, it uses MX Blue switches so you can hear the click of the switch when you press it. There's no mistaking whether you're pressing the switch or not. :)

New system being built, I'll be ordering one of these as well.
Thanx for the info :)

I wish I could provide more real-world information about the footboard at the current time, but unfortunately I can't.

there are some youtube reviews of the system.

what I was interested in mainly is what actions you guys would be using. MiRai said he wanted to use it for team movement. One of the things I strugged with was trying to DPS, heal, and do team movement to avoid fire or mechanics.

Nice. I use this cheapo for 'jumping,' vent and 'oh shat.' I think it's made for guitar so I wouldn't think the speed would be comparable.

what functions are you struggling to juggle now that you are going to put on this device?

slave movement?
heals?
modifiers?

I cant seem to stop tapping my foot. I bet that causes problems.

Stinky device has configurable levels of resistance. I hope it could prevent false positives from that.

There's kind of a spot that's meant to rest your feet if you're using the board horizontally and I can rest both of my feet on it without any issues. However, it gets a bit trickier when I have shoes on, but it's still doable.

Yeah, the different springs definitely make a difference. I'd have to double check which ones I have installed at the moment, but I don't think I'm even using the heavy duty springs.

I just got mine a few days ago.

Pros
•new software/firmware enabling it to detect diagonal clicks not just up down left right.
•more big buttons for panic and often used functions.

Cons
•unless you take your shoes off so you can better feel the balance there is no practical place on the thing to park or rest your feet unless you rest your feet off the unit. stretching your legs can result in negligently fired actions.

Conclusion
•Probably will be best utilized for intuitive movement and interact target with target actions.

What actions do you feel is most natural using footpads like this? others move right, left, up, down?

My Stinkyboard has devolved into simply my Vent PTT. But even then, it seems to be worth it. It's a sturdy, reliable piece of gear. The real problem is that my foot/ankle just aren't flexible to keep my foot on the device and make four different choices.

I use mine for small heal on left side, medium/big heal on right side, IWT on close part and move alts only on far (to break follow). I really like mine. I wish it was $50, but I hope it is you get what you pay for.

The current price is $70, so it's not far from your wish.

I bought it at Amazon for $70. I just went to make sure the price was still good and now it's (as you say) $99. Hmm. I'd keep my eye on it. It probably goes on sale from time to time.

I have yet to include mine in my setup, but I'm honestly not sure what else I'd need at the very moment (running the lower level instances). I bought mine so that I could have the extra buttons available for when I do run out of easy binds to press, but I don't have any concrete answers as to what I'd put there at the moment.

I dont know how many times I rewrote this. I was hoping i could get a better synergy out of my input devices. In dungeons I wiped so many times because I struggled to simultaneously maintain aggro and group heal or stay out of the fire and dps down the boss.
