Hey,

When boxing in a group of 3-5, about once/twice every instance the rest of my party starts continuously running off into the horizon in every direction. I call them back with follow but the run straight through my lead character and continue running.

Does anyone have suggestions?

I'm using Isboxer/Inner Space and the Jamba addon.

Thank you in advance!

First press a movement key to stop them, then follow.

Its not a bug with IsBoxer or Jamba just with WoW. It happens to all of us, though it was never quite that bad for me.

Yeah, I can't say I've ever had follow give me that issue before, but I have seen this when doing formations.

Don't spam IWT and as JohnGabriel says, stop the movement then follow or IWT again.

I'm guessing that you use the constant IWT spam most people use in ISBoxer. I'd suggest using that only for PvP. I only PvE and use a manual IWT with micro-movement (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/48738-What-are-the-most-boxer-friendly-dungeon?p=375831&viewfull=1#post375831) in the DPS rotation to stop any potential runaways. I can't remember the last time I saw a runaway.

There's also a section here (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/36955-Newb-s-Guide-to-Multiboxing-Start-here-if-you-are-brand-new-to-Multiboxing?p=322300&viewfull=1#post322300) in the first Newbie's Guide on dealing with Runaways.

IWT is basically a forward motion but I've seen it myself with strafing.

If I swap windows in the middle of strafing (holding down left or right key), the toon I was on continues to strafe even though the window has lost focus. Something to do with keydown and window focus though I'm sure. The focused window recieved a keydown event but now that it has lost focus, it hasn't gotten the keyup event. So the toon keeps moving.

Hey guys,

Thank you for helping me out.

I don't use IWT currently. I've used it once or twice in the past when looting items, but not now in dungeons or scenarios.

I usually acquire a target, then press my assist binding on my mouse to make all my slaves target the same target, I then turn on broadcast to all, and spam my spells across all 5 toons. I've noticed a whitelist/blacklist which I need to become acquainted with (maybe I won't have to press broadcast to all button), but I'm still reading up on guides. I'm rendering a video in a HC sc now with a set up of 3 shamans, and I'll upload to youtube so you guys can hopefully tell me if there are things I can do differently. I'll edit it once it's uploaded.

When dealing with runaways, I either use my follow bind, or "broadcast to all" and start hitting my movement keys. Usually this fails and they continue to run. The only thing that works, is selecting the window of a runaway then pressing on my desktop on my other/current screen.

Thanks,

Ek

It sounds like you're using key broadcasting (http://isboxer.com/wiki/Key_broadcasting) instead of key mapping (http://isboxer.com/wiki/Key_mapping), which doesn't filter your keypresses, so your slaves are probably also getting any movement keys you press. For multiboxing, you want to use key maps. I'd suggest reviewing the quick start guide (http://isboxer.com/wiki/Quick_Start_Guide_41) and learning how to use key maps.

Hey, I must of missed this. Got the Key Maps on and runaways have reduced significantly.

This behavior is exacerbated by lag (in my experience). So, if you're using wifi or something else that adds latency, investigate available alternatives.
