View Full Version : [WoW] Dungeon kill quests not completing?

Is anyone else having this issue? With my new RaF team, any quests inside dungeons that involve killing a type of enemy or boss simply do not progress. Neither did interaction quests like saving the Orc scouts inside Ragefire Chasm. I'm not getting credit for doing anything.

Item (dropping from enemies or bosses) and object collection quests work just fine, however.

I am not in a raid group. What on earth is going on? I recruited all 4 accounts to the same veteran account, if that matters at all. All the accounts are upgraded to the full version of the game + MoP.

How far away are your guys? There might be a range thing where your characters aren't close enough for the pulse that gets sent out on some of these things.

All the toons are the same level as the dungeon and are together within 30 yards killing the boss, that isn't the issue.

Its possible to be in a raid party without even knowing it, sometimes having to use Jambas disband group twice to completely disband.

Invite everyone to a party by hand (not with an addon) then try, might be the issue.

Thanks JohnGabriel, manual invite seems to have fixed the problem. Perhaps it is a Jamba bug of some sort?

Well its not Jamba specific because you can make it happen without Jamba. The bug started back when WoW released a patch dealing with LFD/LFR, but been so long since I played WoW that I cant remember exactly.

Yes, they made a change with MoP that kind of "layers" groups. Bear with me on the terminology, I don't really know what I'm talking about, lol.

There's the party, which you get as soon as you invite people. The second you enter a "combat group" {LFR, LFD, BGs(?) etc} you get converted to a raid, which layers over the actual party.

So now when you leave the dungeon or whatever, you're still in the "raid" layer. If you "leave" once, you can end up only leaving the "raid" layer, and you're still in the party, but can't see it because the rest of your "party" is still in the "raid".

Sometimes you could get everyone to leave once after the master leaves and suddenly the party frame would reappear showing everyone in a normal party. Or you can get errors while trying to reinvite saying all your slaves are still in group, even though they all look like they're out of group. That's them still in the second "layer." It was always especially visible if you logged out or crashed one one toon

Just have everyone leave group twice. I have a macro for /script LeaveParty() that I just spam a few times if I've done something that might mess up the group structure.

Here's a recent post talking about this weirdness with Flex raids -
