Jamba-AdvancedLoot
* Added two pass loot system from Tehtsuo back into AdvancedLoot so that lootable corpses will still sparkle for all toons if an item of interest is available to be looted.


Core: Communications
* If Assume All Team Members Online is checked then Jamba will not open a private channel. This change means that when Assume All Team Members Online is checked, there will be no chat channel spam when the ElvUI addon is loaded as well as Jamba. It does mean that you will have to specifically add/remove characters from the Jamba team list as you are playing them or you will get Player XXX Not Found messages.
* Assume All Team Members Online now requires a game /reload after it changes in order for the change to take effect.

So, apologies for taking so long to get this out. I spent quite a bit of time on the cross realm support. But due to RL, I have had to shelve that for a while. Here is a small release so at least you don't have to load out of date addons anymore.

Now, here's some more work to do *hides*. You probably saw this thread (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/50358-Quest-rewards) - is it possible that Jamba can do this at some point? Having a toggle somewhere that allows people to select an "And Equip?" when selecting a quest reward could be very useful, though I know the last thing you need is more work, lol.

Thank you for another update Jafula ;)

Just returned to wow and received my one and only error (yayyyy). Now as i know nothing about addons, Im not sure which of the two addons is the problem but here it is anyway. Both addons appear to be working fine, so dont really know whats suppose to be broke. If skinner is the problem then I will report the error with them, just didnt want to create an account just to do so :rolleyes:

Patch 5.4.7 is going to add some changes to BNet communication channels. I know JAMBA doesn't use BNet communication channels, but perhaps it's something to be aware of that could be useful moving forward (cross-realm)? No idea, just thought I'd throw it out there.

We want to give User Interface Add-On authors a heads up about a change in upcoming patch 5.4.7 (release date: TBD).

In patch 5.4.7, BattleTag™ or Real ID friends will only be able to send 10 chat messages every 10 seconds over Battle.net® chat. We’re adding a new way for User Interface Add-Ons to send communications information via a new send function and receive event.

Send function:

BNSendGameData (presenceID, addonPrefix, message)

[*=left]Prefix must be <= 16 bytes and cannot include a colon.
[*=left]The message should be <= 238 bytes. This is 255 bytes minus the 16 byte prefix and an added colon separator.



Receive event:
BN_CHAT_MSG_ADDON - prefix, text, “WHISPER”, senderToonID

I tried searching for the Loot option not being set to FFA. Is there a fix for this. I uninstalled and reinstalled Jamba and it still won't auto set it. Any suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Blizzard made a change and didn't document it anywhere.

Now addon messages are sent as player-realm rather than just player. This is different from the RealID changes they have made. I'll have to make some changes so Jamba works again. Give me a few days. Edit: Turns out I only needed an hour :-)

Looks like Disband group commands are no longer working. Can't disband using jamba commands at all, either through chat or the Jamba interface panel. Invite is working fine, but I have to leave group manually on each toon. It worked fine before the patch yesterday.

Forgot to mention that the team list is not showing the toons on follow or if they've broken follow either (turning green or red).

Disregard, the new version just released fixed all that. TYVM Jafula! <3

I thought I was in your camp as well... but I just realized I only had updated the folder for the first account and not ALL of them. Once I rolled it out to all of them, everything was grand.

I'm not getting any kind of warning when my followers break follow... I have just updated from curse.

Edit: For some reason curse client didn't see that I had installed it manually on one of my wow's.. so had to re-download and it's all working :)

So a bug I ran into, somewhat self induced, caused me a bit of pain today. Somehow, not really thinking about it I had dropped a spell from my spellbook onto the itemuse bar. Now I have a team of 5 monks (1 bm, 1 mw, 3 ww) and the spell I dropped I don't think they all had, or maybe they all had slightly different versions (monks have a lot of that). I don't actually recall which it was, but the end result was my BM became basically unusable with a massive rate of LUA errors (the count was spinning up into the thousands on the same final error). Something about a bad spell id. In either case. A bit of playing around and I find it's not that hard to recreate the problem. It seems the itemuse bar doesn't do very sanity checking when spells/items are dropped or pushed out to the team and a bad item can cause a serious error loop.

Sorry you guys are having issues. The item bar is a complex beast. I agree the spells aspect of it is lacking in validation. I though items were mostly okay from my testing. If you ever get the problem happening again, you can use the command

/jamba-item-use clear

to clear the item bar of all items for the current character. I suggest broadcasting the command to all your characters at the same time.

I find it a little weird that the item bar was causing your toons to break follow. Maybe if they were getting plenty of lua errors it might cause them to freeze up and the lag makes them stop following. The clear command above should stop the errors in that case as well.

Shame, sorry I'm not going to chance to look at the problem until a month away. Flat out with silly real life :-( Will see if I can spend an evening sooner than a month away trying to come up with a fix, but no promises. Thanks for letting me know.

Another bug that I've noticed is that with the currency module, it's not updating the screen position/settings when pushed out to all the toons in the group.

I have a 5 toon team made from 5 different servers that have not been merged. I use ISBoxer and Jamba. Invite/Disband team and several other Jamba features are not working. Should Jamba work in this scenario?

I don't know when it changed since I stopped playing for a few months (3), but when I sign in, the team display doesn't show any chars, none. I have to turn it off and then back on for it to show up. It does this on all my teams. Is there anything I am doing wrong, or how can I get it to show up when I first sign in. Even when I sign out and back in, it doesn't show up.

That's weird. I can't think of any reason that would happen. You could try...

Disabling all addons except Jamba and Jamba-Team?
Is the list of characters in /jamba-team correct? If not something not right.
Are all the characters in a party? Although, Jamba-Display-Team shouldn't care.
If you use ISBoxer try turning off ISBoxer management of Jamba teams.

Last resort, I would destroy (or copy elsewhere) all the saved variables for Jamba, get the latest version down and start over.

I tried turning settings on and off and still only shows frame name with no people in it, not even my main.
I chose the reset options/settings button in the profile section. It made my main show up. I signed out and back in and it stayed, /CheerSorta
I added the rest of the team and signed out and enabled all addons thinking it would be fine.
I signed in and noting in team display again.
I signed out and only enabled Jamba and Jamba-DisplayTeam and still doesn't show anything.
Anything I am missing. Will keep trying to experiment.

Still having this issue?

As an aside:

Do you like to have all your characters loaded into Jamba even if you are not playing them? That would explain the "toon is not online" messages.

I'm thinking about adding a team feature to Jamba much like ISBoxer has, so you can store all your teams in Jamba regardless of which character you are on. If you are happy to choose a team, then you could assume all team members are online because all the active ones would be in a team you configured.

Would that work for you or do you mix and match characters so much that choosing a team would be annoying? I assume adding / removing characters in the team list is not something you do either.

It is still happening. I almost never, like 2 times a year do I mix teams. I have a mixed class team, and every once in a while, I want a tank or herbalist or something special to put with them, but most times, I just invite them and don't even put them in my team. So having every char on a list and add them to a team isn't important to me. I don't want to cancel it for others if they want it, but I don't need it.

I only keep 5 people in my teams. But, as my main computer (multiple computers) is fastest, it signs on and until my alt on another computer signs on, the main gets messages that SoInSo isn't online. If I sign off an alt, to switch chars or check something else out (AH, mail, etc), I get the SoInSo is not online. The way I fix it is to turn off the "Assume All Team Members Always Onlne".

I'm currently 2-boxing with two mages and am having a difficult time getting the "Fingers of Frost" proc to show up on the proc bars. I have the correct spell ID and I've pushed the settings to both characters, but it still isn't working. Any ideas?

Hi,

i cannot get quest watcher to show all toons.
On every toon there's only the master listed. Quest progression for the master is working but i cannot see any other.
I've reinstalled 5.4.8, disabled all other addons without success.

Any suggestions?

Make sure Automatic Quest Tracking is set to on for all your toons. You can find the checkbox at Game Menu -> Interface -> Objectives.

Also on a toon, you can bring up the quest log, and click the Track All button on the Jamba Bar at the bottom of the quest log. That should make all other toons show all the quests in Jamba Quest Watcher.

Also make sure that the Jamba Quest Watcher addon is enabled on all toons.

Originally Jamba was designed to only have information for the toons you were playing with at the time. Over the years people have wanted all the information in Jamba rather than having to manage profiles or swap characters in and out. You can have all your toons in your team and manage it that way if you want.

Hi. I've scoured through the different forums here at dual-boxing.com, and used the search function in many ways, but haven't seen any post about my particular problem, so here goes.

I thought for fun's sake that I would make 5 toons with the same name on different realms.
HOWEVER, these realms are CONNECTED, and they DO see eachother in the JambaTeamIsOnline channel, which means that the Jamba-addon itself wouldn't have any problems, am I right? So here's the chars;

Natadia-Chromaggus
Natadia-Sunstrider
Natadia-Daggerspine
Natadia-Talnivarr
Natadia-Balnazzar

I added them just like that in Jamba-Team, and set Natadia-Chromaggus as the master.
Nothing updates, like the follow-indicator or quest stuff etc.

I tried it another way, by having each toon as just "Natadia" itself, with Natadia-Chromaggus as master, and just "Natadia" on the master.
Still nothing.

Then, I tried it by having the master as "Natadia-Chromaggus", and the other toon's as just "Natadia", with "Natadia-Chromaggus" as master.
Still nothing.

Any ideas why it's doing like this?
As I mentioned, by doing /chatinfo JambaTeamIsOnline I can see all the chars in the channel.
I have the right settings in Core: Communications.

Also, I should point out that I've multiboxed in WoW since mid-tbc and used Jamba for atleast 5 years, and I still can't figure this out ><
On another note, I love the addon :D

EDIT:

Is there any way to force Jamba to use another way of communicating everything, like whispers perhaps?
I realize it might slow things down but it would still be better than nothing :>

Now addon messages are sent as player-realm rather than just player. This is different from the RealID changes they have made. I'll have to make some changes so Jamba works again. Give me a few days. Edit: Turns out I only needed an hour :-)

It should actually be just fine because of the -server suffix, but if whatever is reading the player names is dropping that then there will be trouble.

Everything works for WoW and it's macros, just not Jamba. Clearly it's not a Blizzard/Server-Side problem.

So I liked the idea of the Advanced Loot module, but I saw some need for improvement based on my team's behavior when using it. Feel free to read ahead if you're just looking for the zip file.

So, the main problem I noticed is that loot in wow is not truly pooled. What I mean by that is if there is a Mote of Harmony on one corpse in a pile and a piece of gray trash on another corpse, and you loot the piece of gray trash, the corpse that the trash was on stops sparkling - you can't loot the mote by interacting with that corpse.

So, the first thing I did was to rearrange how this module facilitates looting. If the module sees ANY item in the loot window which has a target specified in the settings, it will not loot anything (including gold/quest items/etc) This way the characters which are set up to loot the item have a chance to open their loot window and take their item.

I also wanted some added functionality for item types, so I added target selections in the settings for Green,Blue,Purple BoPs and BoEs, and click. This way I can have my whole team interact with corpse piles, and my enchanter will take the BoP items that need to be disenchanted, my tailor will get all the motes and cloth, and my main will pick up any BoEs that might be good candidates to sell.

To use this, just replace your Jamba-AdvancedLoot folder with what's in the zip file!

Hey hyperjenn,

Sorry, Jamba doesn't have support for cross-realm characters. There is a hack floating around to make it work. But, I think it needed the characters to all have different names so it probably won't help you.

I really want to get cross realm support in for WOD, so only a few months away until its officially supported in Jamba.

Alright, some more fixes. I just managed to sneak some testing in before the server shutdown for maintenance. Yeh!

Jamba Version: 5.4.8.3


Jamba-AdvancedLoot
* Added two pass loot system from Tehtsuo back into AdvancedLoot so that lootable corpses will still sparkle for all toons if an item of interest is available to be looted.


Core: Communications
* If Assume All Team Members Online is checked then Jamba will not open a private channel. This change means that when Assume All Team Members Online is checked, there will be no chat channel spam when the ElvUI addon is loaded as well as Jamba. It does mean that you will have to specifically add/remove characters from the Jamba team list as you are playing them or you will get Player XXX Not Found messages.
* Assume All Team Members Online now requires a game /reload after it changes in order for the change to take effect.

Hey Vecter,

I realized that Jamba was still loading and creating the channel that causes the spam even if Assume All Team Members Online was checked. I've changed that now in 5.4.8.3 so that it will not create the channel if you have Assume All Team Members Online checked.

Hopefully this solves your issue without having to resort to hacks. Please let me know if it works for you.

Hi all I am new to Multiboxing and decided to run 4 melee now I checked into strobe follow through ISBoxer with Jamba and I love it saves me having to press my follow key 24/7. However I noticed it works fine outside of Siege of Orgrimmar like in Real work pvp. As well I used Strobe follow successfully in Throne of Thunder but I cannot seem to get it to work in Siege of Orgrimmar for WoW. I have had it working then qeue lfr then get SoO then it stops working and guys are not following during combat. Is this a bug that anyone knows of?

I guess you are not having a problem with Jamba but with follow in SOO. Does normal follow work in SOO? If it does, then follow strobe should work as well.

I have downloaded and installed Jamba v5.4.8.3. This is my problem: My alt opens the quest window with my main, but when I accept on my main, the alt does not.

I have the following configured on the Quest: Quest Option Menu screen:

Selected: Toon Select & Decline with Team
NOT Selected: All Auto Select Quests
NOT Checked: Accept Quests
Not Checked: Master Auto Share Quests When Accepted
Checked: Toon Auto Accept Escorts From Team

My Alt has Jamba running and I have pushed the setting from my Main.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having a look at the Jamba on beta now. Quite a lot of small changes that make things go boom. Yes, the quest system has had an overhaul. I'm not sure I'll get to updating Jamba-Quest and Jamba-QuestWatcher by Tuesday but I'll try.

Edit: So on my one beta account I have most of the addon modules loading without Lua errors apart from ItemUse, Quest and QuestWatcher. I'm not able to test with multiple toons until patch day, but I'll try and start work on getting those three moved to the new systems tomorrow.

Yes, update is happening. I've got it mostly working expect for parts of Quest Watcher. I'm going to have another go at fixing it tonight and hopefully should be able to package it up to release.

So far most things seem to be working, such as Follow After Combat, FTL stuff, Jamba-Team Invite, all the basic stuff. Haven't noticed anything off really. I don't use the quest watcher as I mostly dungeon grind to level. Item use though are all yellow borders and no items seem to be in there. Other than that its still usable.

Yea I have that option ticked. I've also tried having Jamba as the only addon to load and many other combinations, it just doesn't show up in wow at all. /jamba doesn't work and doesn't show up in the addons tab where you adjust settings.

I have that the quest item window isn't showing any more quest items. They are still there when i hover my mouse over the window, but the pics stay empty. Also there is a golden square around all of the items. Will make a screenshot later if its not clear.

What is the full path to JAMBA's .toc file starting from your WoW folder?

All the other jamba taxi/toon/quest/etc folders are in the addons folder, not in a jamba folder

/jamba not working for me too.. 4 toons are ok with no errors but one toon keeps getting some lua error on libace i think.. but quest watcher's not working and quest completion works weird.. quests with reward will auto-choose reward for some of my toon.. -_-

guess just gotta wait patiently for jafula~ :)

I did notice this odd thing where interact doesn't loot correctly for an alt. It gets stuck with the loot window open for some reason.

That's not a Jamba function as far as I know, but I see the same thing. Pain in the butt on Timeless Isle and quest pickups. :p
