I'm not sure if his personal opinion has that much weight in the decision making process. So if he communicates it seems more likely to me that he is representing what is being discussed/decided in meetings, rather than his own opinion.

And the fact that other Blizzard devs are less vocal about the issue doesn't necessarily mean they are less opinionated.

Actually, Jeff Kaplan was a proponent of boxing and mention he muti boxed himself.

I'm not sure if its a good or bad thing.
From the interactions top pvpers have had with some of the other game designers it could be kinda grim in general for the future but only time will tell.
