Something like 40+ of The Wis's ships destroyed and capsules (pods) killed. Pretty sizable loss for The Wis; hang in there buddy!
Apparently it's been attempted to take his fleet out before but this is his first major loss? (Update: evenews24 indicates he lost 25 in 2012)

Possibly better comparison kill report (this shows the 2 sides of the encounter separately): http://zkillboard.com/related/30005223/201310250000/

Note for non-EVE players: EVE Online PVP is different from other MMOs. It's kind of hardcore compared to WoW, in that your characters incur actual losses. Not only did The Wis lose ships which cost to buy/build again, and fairly expensive implants which cost to buy/build again, but his capsules were also destroyed; This EVE wiki page details the consequences of that happening: https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Pod_Killed. I know nothing about his characters, but it's possible his characters each lost weeks/months of training time. Ouch!

I haven't played Eve in a while, but I have a feeling 15 bil ISK isn't going to hurt the Wis all that much if he's got that sort of fleet going.

Yeah, 15 billion ISK is probably not a huge loss since I'm told he has mined ice for a long time with many ships, but I can't imagine he's not upset about losing skills!

Just another reminder that Nullsec is actually safer than Hisec.

I'd be more pissed off about the amount of time it took me to get that many ships into one spot and how long it was gonna take to recover my clones, get new ships/modules/implants and get back out to my favorite spot. ;)

Those guys were giggling like school girls. My 11 account mining fleet is living in null. Like carbs said it seems safer living in null. You know if a neut enters the system they are only there to kill you.
