The new EQ expansion released this week, Call of the Forsaken, has a new feature that multiboxers should be excited about - Heroic Adventures!

Heroic Adventures are shared tasks for groups of 1 - 6 players, which is perfect for a small multiboxing team! They are primarily designed for groups of 3 players and 3 mercenaries, but smaller groups with appropriate skills and gear should be able to also succeed. On average, it will take about 45-60 minutes for your team to complete the tasks.

These fun Heroic Adventures are customized, which means that they scale in level, difficulty, and quality of loot, based on the highest level player in the group.

There is also a random component to the Adventures. Each time you enter one, your muliboxing team will be given different objectives to complete and encounter different NPC's each step of the way. Every Adventure will be unique!

Named, loot-dropping mobs may appear in your Heroic Adventure. In that case, when the task is completed, your multiboxing team will be rewarded with group currency. This currency can then be used for purchasing gear or spells, for either players or mercenaries, from special vendors in the Ethernere.

Other features in the new Call of the Forsaken expansion include new zones for your team to explore, enhancements to the mercenary system, shared bank slots, new craft recipes, more spells, and additional raids.

It looks like the Free-to-Play advances a little with the expansion release too.

You get everything, except the most recent two expansions with Free-to-Play.
So one further expansion than prior to this release.

You can also always buy the most recent expansion, which gets you the previous expansion as well (everything previous).

Or you can play on the Test server and get all expacs and be a gold member for free :)

I'd think I would testcopy from my old server (which was merged twice)...
To get my existing toons onto Test.
And then play there... having every expansion and being the equivalent of Gold always... that's very worthwhile.

Just /testcopy one toon over daily (with plats), to build up some wealth for the group on the new server.

I'm still deciding on teams.

I was thinking of two groups, ideally not overlapping... so that would be 12 unique toons.
One with a traditional tank (assuming I'm willing to invest in the AAs, to make that as effective as a Merc).
The other with all ranged, plus a Mage pet -- an issue is three or four compositions that I like... and only six slots to play with.

I'm interested in Group Content, as far as I can go.
And raid content, from WAY back... likely Nagafen/Vox/Hate/Fear/Air maybe Kael/Skyshrine too.
Basically the content that has nostalgia value.
