The EVE Online Rubicon expansion is live as of November 19th! Here are more details on several of the exciting changes and new features in the Rubicon expansion.
Mobile Structures: Depots, Tractor Units, Cynosural Inhibitor and Siphon Units. Temporary and designed for personal use.
Guerrila-Style Warfare: The new mobile Siphon Units are used in Guerrilla-Style Warfare. These units allow you to steal materials and disrupt production from Player-Owned Structures. They don't need to be anchored, there is no wait period to bring them online, and they can be freely accessed or attacked. This type of warfare means that small fleets can cause major problems for alliance strongholds, which could be a major advantage for your multiboxing team!
Ghost Sites: These rare-find facilities in the middle of nowhere provide fast-paced hacking and combat challenges with new and unique rewards for your team. Once you enter one of these sites, it triggers a hidden timer. You'll have to hack your way in before the timer runs out, or else the armed security fleet will be summoned to engage you and your team. If you manage to hack your way through and disable the four secure systems within a site, you'll be able to access the items inside. The unique rewards include secret blueprints and the materials necessary to build them.
Sisters of EVE Faction Ships: The new frigate and cruiser might be beneficial to your multiboxing team as they are intended to support extended, discreet travel in hostile territory. They are particularly useful in small group exploration missions, such as wormhole, anomaly and complex excursions.
ISIS: The InterBus Ship Identification System is an interactive guide to help you plan the ships and skills you will need to perfect your multiboxing team. ISIS gives you a visual overview of the ships by mapping them out by faction, group, and role. You'll be able to see what your ship options are and the choices that are unlocked as you train skills.
Certificate Overhaul: The Certificate System has been overhauled to help you plan out what skills your multiboxing team needs in order for you to achieve your goals. Each ship has a set of certificates so you can see how well you can fly and equip them or what skills you need to train to do so. Changes have been made to certain career paths, and a new ship mastery level has been added.
Rebalancing: Marauders, Interceptors, Interdictors and Electronic Warfare ships have gone through changes, so you might want to add a few new ships to your multiboxing team. Marauders are now a stronger, specialized class with a regular mode and bastion mode, and they excel in harassment tactics. Interceptors gained an advantage with the new dynamic physics of warp acceleration, and their tweaked stats have increased speed and agility. Interdictors also have revised stats, as well as signature and mass decreases that allow them to jump on targets faster than before with the new warp changes. Electronic Attack Ships have increased range bonuses along with boosted hitpoints and max velocity, which makes them ideal for fast and cheap recon-type support ships.
