Heya,

have played a lot on my 3x warlock team and done several rare-spawns.
Voidwalker ftw, max range and hammer the 'nuke-it' button.

Switched back to my 3x paladin-team for some fun and tried the same.
..yeah.. the AOE of these guys hit like a truck - everyone is in melee range
therefore everyone get hit by all the stuff. I've tried running away and
my mainchar usually gets out of the aoe-effect but my toons usually
stand in there because of
- the little lag before they see my mainchar is moving
- switching from IWT to follow
- they follow, so they are always behind me.

Anyone got some tactics in how to survive whirlwinds, earthshocks ...
from the rare spawns with a pure melee group?

Thanks in advance.

I go through movement issues (http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/46393-Khat-s-Newbie-Guide-for-Multiboxing-Vol-2?p=354395&viewfull=1#post354395) in Newbies Guide to Multiboxing Vol.2

my 3 man melee shammy group can be ok on some of the bosses on the island i just try and out heal it or run away the only other way is try and keep them stop them casting the bad moves.

But a few fights i end up dead i try and not fight them mods.

i find the fire aoe are a little easyer for my shammy group with http://www.wowhead.com/item=41533/glyph-of-healing-stream-totem seems to work for me a little better not sure if you got anything for a group of pallys. But i can say warlocks got to love it here.

thanks for the replys but it looks like I will put my paladin-group on ice.

It seems to be easier to find a way to trashbomb naxxramas with a group
of warlocks (wearing cloth. not really a good aoe class. usually done that
with a group of pallys while watching TV) than finding a way to survive
the aoe stuff from the rare spawns.
