I don't really wanna fill the forums with crap like this but what the hell...

As the topic says, the dragonboss in ramparts is kicking my butt. The first 2 adds are no problem, the orc that flyes the dragon is no problem, but when the dragon comes down he does this aoe fireballs which kills my druids at once. And btw, my main is a 70 warlock which I'm using to kinda powerlvl with. The tanking is no problem really, but the dragon goes for my druids right away and I don't have time to grab the aggro with my lock (I've tryed 6times).

Help :(

You and I, are in the same boat. I don't even bother w/ the last boss at Ramparts atm (currently 5 shaman team, all lvl 64). The other place I dread, is the 2nd boss fight in the Blood Furnace (the one where the guys start out of the gates, after you move the lever in the middle of the room). I'm always down to the LAST gate, when I'm OOM. EVEN if I did survive that last set, the boss comes at you RIGHT as you kill the last mob from the last gate. I just don't see it ever happening atm.

You have to try and cast a searing pain on the dragon as soon as it lands.

PS: You can DoT it while it is still in the air. So when engaging the rider, pop a few DoTs on the dragon and then kill the rider. The dragon will still fireball someone randomly occasionally.

You need to turn him away frm grp. grp should be behind dragon. dont know what spec your lock is but you need fire resist . bring out dog. He will last longer have 2 duids heal him. other two nuke dragon. lock curse of doom. and dot to hell.

should be able to sick your pet on the dragon before it lands.

I do this boss somewhat easily (no wipes yet) on my 61-62 4man team (i pug the 5th spot) with pally tanking and 2 elemental shamans dpsing, holy priest healing.

I always use the first 2 mobs as a good time to position everyone to their final position. Be sure to spread out your toons reasonably far from each other. I use a straight line formation.

Once the first boss drops, make sure to watch who gets bombs dropped on them. If it hits one of your "alts" move them immediatly. Since all my guys are in a straight line, i just move the 3 forward by a little bit.

Once the dragon drops, i throw a taunt at him then just carry on like normal. for your warlock you can try shadowburning as soon as he lands, that should stick aggro on you. If your druids are spread out tehy will not all get killed @ the same time.

Also try putting your pet at the far side of the "circle" (you should definitely be using the circle for the fight) and sick the pet on the dragon before it lands. As soon as it lands, cast voidwalker taunt on the dragon. This should buy you some time to get aggro with your warlock

Be sure to always face the dragon away from your group, and move the lockt o a different spot as soon as he gets a fireball on him.

Might be cheating but I have seen people pull the last 2 pack all the way up the bridge. Once those 2 guys are dead the boss comes down. You can inch your way down and then it looks like you can dps down the dragon with out engaging the rider. I haven't done it myself but I saw it done in a couple videos.

Any one know if Nazan is resistant to ice on heroic ?. He is very resistant to fire and as such it takes a very long time to kill him with fire spec. I killed him once on heroic (with fire) just to prove it is possible but it is totally not worth it for badge farming (which is a shame because the rest of instance is so farm friendly).

On heroic (with 300 fire resist on tank and 100 fire resist on everyone else due to buff/item) the challenge really is to survive in good order until the rider is dead an the dragon is firmly on tank. If you are there and still have more then half your healing mana (and none died) it just takes solid execution from there on. This sounds alot easier then it really is tho. The rider has significant hit points on heroic and the damned dragon chaingun fires the fireballs while in the air.

If you use Shaman, Nazan's Fire ball AoE that he throws at a random player is completely consumed by a Grounding Totem. Also drop a fire resistance totem and tank Nazan facing away from your DPS/Healers. It is an easy fight with Shaman, as long as you pay attention with your tank to move away from the Fire on the ground (or you will take much damage).

For any other group, you will need to bind a key to Strafe Left and Strafe Right for your Alts. When Nazan throws a fireball at them, you will need to strafe away, while paying attention to Fire Balls landing on your Tank. Tough fight.

Hey Schwarz, thanks for posting a link to my video. I was going to post it myself but obviously you were faster ;-)

Anyway, as stated above, this only works if you have grounding totems. I found four to be sufficient. When you use these tactics, make sure to aggro the guy in the middle in case of a wipe incoming, or else you have to reset the instance for another try (Bossfight is not reset properly, and dragon respawn is buggy).

Good luck!
