Computer keeps downclocking

So my computer keeps going back to balanced power settings. I have no idea how this is happening as I am the only one that uses it and would never use anything but High Performance. Anyone have an idea? The only way I noticed this was ISBoxer would notify me on startup. So thanks for adding that :D

This is a laptop, right? Might you happen to be pressing Fn+Space at some point? That's the typical hotkey to switch power profiles. You might be accidentally pressing that combo when going for something like Ctrl+Space or Alt+Space?

On a related note, my wife used to press that to change her brightness setting and didn't realize it was actually setting the power profile.

I don't know of any reason why it would change automatically though
