A new Diablo 3 expansion has recently been announced – the Reaper of Souls! There’s a lot of new stuff coming, as well as some changes to the loot and paragon systems.
With the Reaper of Souls expansion, you’ll be able to level your multiboxing team up Level 70 with the increased level cap! Existing classes will also get new skills, runes, and passives.
There will be a new mid-range class to add to your multiboxing team called Crusaders, which are essentially an elite branch of Paladins. The main stat for Crusaders will be strength, and their resource will be Wrath. Crusaders will use flails, two-handed flails, two-handed swords, and shields. Skill categories for Crusaders include Primary, Secondary, Defense, Utility, Laws, and Conviction.

The revamped Loot 2.0 system will drop fewer items compared to D3 Vanilla, but not to worry… multiboxing means you Get More Crappy Loot™! With the Smart Drop system, each item has a chance that its affix rolls will be focused on the class you are currently playing. Also, some of the new Level 70 items will potentially outpower the current Level 63 Affix items. As a side note, white items will be used as a new crafting reagent.
The Paragon System is going through a complete overhaul with Paragon 2.0. The new paragon system will be account-wide instead of per-character. Your account gains one Paragon Point per level to spend on stats. There will no longer be a cap on points, and they can be re-specced. Each Paragon Level adds one Paragon Point to all your characters, which can then be distributed differently for each character.
Additionally, you can expect to find the following new features in the Reaper of Souls expansion for your future multiboxing adventures:
Act/City: The Survivor’s Enclave
Boss: Malthael
Loot Runs: 15-20 minute completely random dungeons (you will need to do something to unlock these)
Nephalem Trials: challenge-based trials
Artisan: The Mystic
Gem: Diamond
Recipes for Jeweler and Blacksmith
Many new monsters
Much, much more!
Stay tuned for further information to be released at BlizzCon in November. The D3: Reaper of Souls expansion should be in Beta by the end of this year.
